I forgot about this, but it STILL bangs. Gucci Mane dun took off HAM ON THIS RIGHT HERE! a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took his career off 2 the next level fr fr no cap
Nah THIS sound is definitely D4L .. Soulja changed the way music is consumed, meaning social media. A up & coming Artist doesn't have to persuade a big time record label to sign them because of soulja's come up on Myspace. Even that he wasnt neccessary the "first" to do it, just the first to blow up from it.
He doesn't get enough credit...blessed my teenage years were in the start of so many trends and souljaboy is a pioneer of so many iconic moments In pop culture.
*Catchy hooks, simple but hard beats, audience crossed the adults, youth and adolescence, and to put the icing on the cake had a trendy dance for almost all his songs.....I didn't fuck with too much of his and the lane he made for music but I damn sure respect it and he god fathered a lot of these rappers today* #ShowHimHisRespect
facts man i was 17 in 11th grade so 1 year younger then soujla is and when he dropped crank dat it was unlike anything we had ever heard... by the time prom hit a few months later the whole school knew the lyrics and the dance and we played that bitch like 5 times that night and we went harder and harder everytimg the dj played it
Someone killed my neighbor and I just wanna know are they gonna come forward and tell the truth or just sweep it under the rug cause soon as them backwoods get rolled which I dont smoke weed dont even go like that shidd papers learn the hard way cause Jay Z got someone on the case that's why I'm no longer on Instagram hollering at the baddies
Remember when albums had funny skits, intros, outros that weren't just songs, the album felt like an experience, each album had a vibe and you listened to the entire album because people actually put in work for a fire album instead of the first 3 or 4 tracks being hot and the rest trash.
This Dick Aint Free Explain this and u have figured out how Atlanta carved out a slice of the pie in the rap game. they have enough diff artists to only rock with locals.
Millions of people (mostly age 20 and under) were going crazy about YUMS shoes/clothing back in 2008-2011 as he capitalised on the virality of bapes and sucked a cut of the market share. Soulja boy has achieved more than people think from an entrepreneurial and musical standpoint. Putting aside breaking streaming records, ringtone records, viral dance records, if soulja boy came out today with the same tactics he did in 2007/08, he would probably have made $300-700 million within his viral years based on how much popularity he had and how the internet is now. If you know your facts, you'd realise that as far back as 2008 he was literally one of the first to do influencer marketing for brands via social media and even songs on the RU-vid mostly for YUMS and PINK DOLPHIN (Kim Kardashian gets paid £300k per sponsored instagram post now), personality daily life vlogging (one of the biggest niches on youtube), video game streaming (one of the biggest niches on youtube), was one of the first internet meme personalities (millions of people shared pics of soulja boy with the baggy clothes, sunglasses etc and were making jokes like "who killed soulja boy? YOUUUUUU"). Consider that the crank dat video only has 377+ million views on youtube and it was once the most viral song + dance worldwide with thousands of remixes. Even songs that didn't have that much virality are getting 2 billion views now within a short time. That just proves that a high percentage of his virality wasn't monetised directly by him as all these things were at their infancy.
Hip hop failed Soulja Boy. Give him his credit. Listening to this song again after years, you can clearly tell much of todays beat and flow influence came from him.
Who cares tho.....soilja boy didn't capitalize off his so many flows he came up with, and other niggas did. That's business.....don't come out wanting props, come out wanting the money
@Rahaman Awelenje Lmfao at you talking about bad grammar while using some of the worst grammar ever. Lmfao what exactly did Soulja start? Stole this flow from Shawty Lo and the Ad-Libs from OJ Da Juiceman. Soulja had always been a wave rider.
Logan Wendt Except 2010s literally killed Hip Hop for good lol 70s-80s-90s-2000s was the best decade of Music. They might take Soujia Boy back over all these rappers today lmao
