My grandma told me at one time blacks couldn't cross Claiborne and walk down the parkway. She lived in Louisiana in the magnolia. This was a long time ago during segregation of course.

Yeah I think Slim moved to the Nolia when he was like 3. I believe you right though about Gert Town being where he was born, but the Nolia and the Parkway is his only set that count

I had never been that area. The way we was raised, you were scared to go in the project, but as I got to live in there, I started meeting people and realized it’s a good community.
