Soulshine by the Allman Brothers Band cover by the SoR Chicago Red Hots at the Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest, Chicago. Eva on vocals, Declan on keys, Leah and Max on guitars, Fiona on bass, Ben on drums. August 2018, Chicago, Illinois
The joy I receive watching these young Musicians/Artists performing very challenging songs really warms my heart. For 3 years, I taught for the City of Aurora, CO kids, ages 7 - to adults/seniors, Guitar/Bass and some light Music theory. 3 of the kids turned into pros. Their parents thanked me so dearly. One of the tricks was for the kids to write a song with me playing guitar with them. The subjects were about: Popcorn, Cats, Baby Sharks, Oreo cookies and their pets!!! I video'd the kids and sent the little clips to their parents, grandparents and of course the kids too!! Due to Covid, I had to step away from the wonderful work. I will always be grateful for those 3 years. David.
I saw Eva playing keyboards on Never Been Any Reason and doing some backup singing but her vocal here was outstanding. Thanks for sharing their talent with us Peggy.
Such a fantastic song. I was a very young child when this song was new. Not a one of my friends are familiar with it. It's great to see these youngsters loving it, and sounding great. I would love to see these guys play a show.
Kids of today l don't know 🙉🙈🤣 What a feeling it is to hear younger people of today showing deep appreciation for the older styles and nailing it. Beautiful 💚
These kids are enormously talented. I hope the world doesn't mess that up. It does this old lady's heart good to know there are still talented kiddos out there who know what real music is. Lordy this is good. I wish them the very best in this world..and pray they hold onto the greatness they have.
Bout time!!!! I would fell silly commenting on the same things over and over again....like some kind of weirdo fanboy... STELLAR AS ALWAYS!!!!!! Thank you for keeping real music alive!!!!!!
I just now realized that Peggy and Leah are sisters. All you young ladies and gentlemen are incredible talented!!!! Please don't stop preforming for us!!!¡
The next time I hear someone from my or older generations say they have no faith in the youth of today, I’ll point them to these videos. Good music is timeless.
First: Peggy - thank you so much for getting the video & posting! Second - Cosa Bellissima , Incantevole ! ( A beautiful thing , enchanting! - I went n looked it up) ...These videos offer the best example of " taking a shot at something that's been done before, and as a collective trying your best and not to let the others down or out shine them all. ... Third - I wish all the best ( my heartfelt prayers) to each and all , for accomplishing what you set out to do ..." Make some strangers smile and brighten their day"! .... Peggy you made it a special moment for all to witness, more than just those who saw it live. Now, with 875,000 ( never been any reason) views, some of us are searching for : " what else you kids got" . I find myself checking songs I most likely would pass over ", just because it's you kids at it again". LoL !
Just watched it again...still great but just noticed the next band were a bit too eager to get on...thought they would at least let you enjoy the applause :)
OMG, they did Soulshine! Is there anything they can't do, and do well??? P.S.- gear geek question- Is the keyboard being played in this video also a Juno DS like the one in the front, or is it something different?
You and me are truly soul mates I talk to the spirit about you every day hopefully you at least talk to me don't be afraid we can forgive each other you know we are too in one ❤❤
