It might have injured it badly enough for it to not be able to escape from beneath the tree until the other dinosaurs came; they didn't say the impact killed it, just that it died.
in the story there are to guides. Travis, isnt the one that marked the kill. And they don't have their oxygen mask on, they didnt have the magnate either. and they other dudes didnt throw up lol
Too bad the fx were so cheap: a clumsy rubber puppet is not scary at all, though the head was designed well enough. I don't remember the words from the short story well enough but I am wondering why the guide is talking about mice and foxes and lions when those didn't exist back then. Neither did grass (though a couple years ago there was a reported find of fossil grass from the Cretaceous period). And dinosaurs, except for birds, went extinct at least 65 million years ago. Nice gecko lizards in that brief shot; I don't know if those existed back then. One plot hole and this is in the original story too, is why no rails on the path? Another, they step off the path to retrieve the bullets; what if they had not stomped on anything until then?
He used modern animals to simplify the concept so it’s easier for Eccles to understand, like how kids are shown models of the solar system, even if they don’t accurately portray the distance between planets. Plus, it’s not like Eccles would know what a Didelphodon is or why it matters if a Purgatorius survive. Using familiar species makes it easier for someone without any knowledge of ancient wildlife to picture the butterfly affect. Having rails would’ve increased the surface area of the path, therefore increasing the chances of it accidentally touching overhanging plants, and altering the past as a result

How could you go into the past AT ALL without altering the future or creating a parallel universe? Simply by altering a breeze, something sent into the past could alter the position of an atom and change everything. I pose the question: how is it possible for anything sent into the past to not alter the future/create a different future?
Yeah, you just have to turn your brain off for some things to make sense. Even the atmosphere brought back through the time machine would create bacteria and mould that would completely alter everything.
It would’ve rusted overtime. It’s hard for artefacts like that to withstand 65 million years. Of course, this doesn’t change the fact that leaving them there would’ve changed things
@@Hugme778 the carcass is still there wether r not he was killed by the tree or the time travellers, so the raptor would still have a bite to eat either way
