To actually think in an interview Daisuke did say that he said that phrase while drunk. Gunflame is forever my favorite phrase. I'll shout it out when i get drunk
@@wilsonng994 Huh? That's strange, I was almost certain Hanada voiced Kakashi (that's what many people in the GG fandom previously indicated). www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Hikaru-Hanada/ I'm guessing someone misheard Kazuhiko Inoue's voice and thought it was the same guy. www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kazuhiko-Inoue/
i tell ya, joji nakata voice i love for Sol, but that ishiwatari Gunflame was so pumped, screamed at the top of his lungs, which imo is how it should be considering how Sol got increasingly laid back as the story went forward
@@ItsLynch1 It’s a scare tactic. A sudden increase in decibels usually surprising and can stun an opponent. Sol may not have technique but he’s still a genius regardless.
When it comes to American interpretations of Sol's voice, Troy Baker seems like the safe pick, but I like the haggard sound of Davids voice. It just sounds really metal. Like Limmy or some other metal singer who has a lot of road miles and a large bar tab. I think Troy was the better performer, but when it comes to voice, I like David's more.
Eventually I may do something special involving Ishiwatari's voice samples and a certain GG title, but for now, just enjoy the occasional mod video I make: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9g2giL3qyno.html
0:26 HUH? South America? I wish I could see this (and buy it) at my local game stores... Also, Jouji Nakata debuted in the FGs in ACPLUS, not +R. (Also, personal setting: George as Sol, Ishiwatari as O.Sol. Fight the creator himself!) Ishiwatari: A couple of beers are we're on. George: A pro. Expert on playing Badguys (Kotomine, Alucard, Wesker, etc.) since Jetman. Baker: Not bad. NBA-ish. Forseth: Logan-esque, but also not bad. Lee: Most unknown, but sounds tough. Hanada: I'm not a fan of CD-Dramas.
George might have started in ACPlus, but he's been voicing characters in fighting games since Melty Blood. Nrqsr "Nero" Chaos. Also, Koichi Yamadera was supposed to voice Sol early on, but they couldn't afford him, so he ended up voicing Beerus in Dragonball FighterZ years later.
@@MimebladeGMail Although, none of that games are entirely on ASW hands (MB is French Bread, ASW would help in publishing it years later since Nrqsr debut. DBFZ is from Bamco, they have more involvement than ASW itself). You're including those like they were ASW games, when they're actually not. (Fuck you, autocombos.) Speaking of Namco, you forget one game where Nakata did another bad guy. And Ishiwatari did Sol so many times, fans would prefer him over Yamadera. Like Toshimitsu Arai repraising Rugal in KOF2k2UM over Norio Wakamoto.
@@gonzalotorres5282 ASW developed DBFZ though, so it wasn't a hands-off deal. I don't know about what other famous game voices Nakata has done, I'd have to look them up, but what people prefer is up to them. I don't mind what roles are given to GG characters, or anyone else... I just flow with who is chosen for the role, especially if they do a good job of acting the part.
@@MimebladeGMail But until now were acredited. Remember when FUNimation took the place of ASW logo on Supersonic Warriors on GBA and SW2 on NDS? Me neither. Mediocre seiyuus tend to ruin characters. Look at JP!Ruby, Mai and Orie in BBTag: they always sound the same.
jesus, i know a lot of people are sick of seeing Troy Baker everywhere, but i really wouldn’t mind him being the permanent english voice for Sol at all... besides the need for some extra gruff, the way he delivered the lines used for gunflame in Overture was pretty damn close to how I imagine English Sol to sound like....
All I can say is that voice actors like Troy are expensive. So they did the best they could. Forseth did a great job in Strive, both in fighting and in Story.
Recording PS2 Soundbytes is a little difficult for me at the moment, but yes they are very different. I encourage people to try GGX, GGXX, and GGXXACPlus if they can.
For sure. I got really into Midnight carnival at first purely because of how good Sol sounded. Then I played the rest of the game, and realised it was the best anime fighter ever.
It's a fan-made Font called RED, though it's not the only GG font out there. You'd have to ask the Modding community if they finished the Strive font yet.
I think sols current VA does suit him in the modern era. Daisuke felt very 90s (which was what it was back then)I would really like a Daisuke option tho, for old times sake.
NukeDaHippies Frederick / Sol has always and STILL is a char that screams "80s and 90s". That's why current Sol voice feels off. I swear I am hearing P5's Sojiro and not Sol.
I'm gonna start handing out hearing aids to every post like this. Maybe I'll add "Gun Flame" to the subtitles for the hearing impaired while I'm at it. How do you sign "Gunflame" in Sign language?
Both Korean Reload and GGX 1.5 were intended for South American/Korean audiences at one point... though I do not know why ARCSys was so dedicated to giving a Korean dub (Russian GG fans still haven't got a dub yet either...)
