Another comprehensive review Andy! 👍 Soundcore is usually good about initial feedback and firmware fixes. Wouldn't be surprised to see an update to improve transparency as many reviews point out it's not that great.

I just got the soundcore sport x10s, and they are my favorite earbuds I've ever had. Soundcore is awesome. Most earbuds fall out of my ears as soon as I sweat, so I have to have ear hooks to keep them in. These look awesome too. I may have to pick some up for a casual pair.

Thanks for the detailed review … sounds like a feature packed earbud and I really like the upgrade in ANC capability and battery life … I would add one thing though … the Liberty 4 NC have a single 11mm dynamic driver while the Liberty 4 and Liberty 3 Pro have dual drivers … perhaps the sound degradation with 1 driver is negligible but it’s just something to be aware of … cheers 👍

You don’t necessarily need a two way setup to get good sound. Most headphones and IEMs are single driver designs

The Liberty 4 are my favorite buds and it sounds like these are incrementally improved, but I'm a little disappointed that they didn't keep the stem-squeeze and went back to the tap. I have many buds with the tap-to-interact and it just seems like I get fewer misinterpreted contacts with the squeeze.

Pretty interesting review you did there, Andy! The only thing really missing was the sports/exercise side of things. I understand that that these are not outright supposed to be "sports/activity/exercise" earbuds, but as you can read from the comment, people are still interested to know how do they stack up: - How loose to they feel: when performing strength-based sports (think powerlifting, weightlifting, etc.), where you'll definitely move your EARS and most buds tend to instantly fall off; or when running-as whole-body-movements tend to make most earbuds fall off quite easily. - Do they fall off if you quickly turn your head or tilt it form side to side? - How comfortable are they? - Does sweat impact on grip/looseness? (TBH, I just wish these had some wings/hooks; as most of the questions mentioned above would just fade away into oblivion). If you find that the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC are not quite good for the above-mentioned sports, which pairs of earbuds would you recommend? Preferably with the same (or very similar) features as the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC. Other than that, great review! :)

These earbuds were designed for casual use. The fit is okay for low intensity and steady paced exercises such as jogging or yoga but I don’t think you should do any crossift or plyometrics with these buds. Soundcore has the X10 buds which have earhooks for a more secure fit. In this price range you might want to have a look at the Sennheiser Sport TW buds or the Jabra Elite 4 Active. Or maybe the Tribit H1 if you want earhooks. Or watch my comparison review between the best sports buds and best earhook buds if you want more details.

Indeed, I've already watched your sports/earhook buds comparisons-hopefully, we'll also eventually get a 2023 edition? :). In fact, all of the alternatives you've mentioned in your reply seem great for the intended purpose I've described; I was just wondering if they would also fall into the same feature-ballpark as the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC. I just use the Air Pro 3 for comparisons most of the time as they used to be my favourite buds under $100. But Soundcore is the new king now…

Hi Andy, it's me again! I've ordered a pair of these earbuds thanks to your reply about running and cycling, and your video, but now I have an issue with it. I don't know how could I record audio with it, cause recording doesn't work on both android and windows platforms. I tried to set hands-free as in and output on windows, but I didn't have any success. What shall I do now? Thanks in advance!

I use the Easy Voice Recorder on Android where you can select BT as source and tweak the recording quality manually. Not sure about Windows though as I don’t use it on the daily at all

I think my ears are average to big sizes and I don't find them very comfortable. Thus, I don't think they would be a good fit for someone with small ears.

First: No one should use earbuds at a volume that can be heard by people around you, unless you want to become deaf. And second: if it has noise cancellation, it works both ways, no sound gets in and no sound gets out.

I would not recommend that. The weak point of the buds is the transparency mode which is what you are supposed to use on a bike.

For some casual workouts and running on the treadmill these are fine but the fit is not secure enough for more intense excercises

The call quality and transparency mode is a problem. Men with deeper voices sound muffled and kinda fuzzy and that's how the Ambient mode sounds with all voices to me. They have a lot to offer but those issues are a deal breaker for me. Thank you for the review. 💯👍🇺🇸

Transparency is not my favourite either but I found the voice transmission to be good
