After he finishes that epic scream at 3:44 you can hear the crowd oo'ing and ahh'ing....they were probably thinking "Jesus Christ, WTF was that!!!?" Cornell's vocal abilities in the early years were pretty damn close to inhuman-
Jason Everman's best times! In Nirvana and Soundgarden he was the best, but also,in Old Lady Drivers and Mindfunk,I've heard he did played a few times in Voivod on rythm guitar!
@@andyfaithnomoreguitarist5444 And then he joined the US military "influenced by Renaissance icon Benvenuto Cellini (who stated that a well-rounded man is an artist, warrior and philosopher." Sad that he had to join the murderous US military though, where a soldier is closer to executioner of civillians than brave warrior.
@@ColtraneTaylor Yes, it needed to be said, i deduce the "he's too moody for already moody bands" part meant that he was the more expressive strightforward guy in both bands (which is a great thing if you are doing it conciously not impulsively, because in that likely case it can be conterproductive) contrary to the others that kept for themselves, meaning in their private lives, and then imploded like a timebomb, they did not took the best objective decitions as individuals but at least they expressed themselves createing art and contributed their message to human history, he outlived his former bandmates, yes, but AT WHAT COST?.. There's always more than one alternative to choose.
Soundgarden is the reason I fell inlove with hard rock and why I started playing the guitar; now I have moved on to many genres but for me Soundgarden is where my roots are.
here i just found myself going.....HHHHHHARRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this music is too insanely epic to be true
And I here I was thinking I've seen every version of this on youtube. lol. This is by far the heaviest version (vocally) that I've seen on here. I don't know if it was one of the many nights Chris was on the liq, but he sounded decent here.
Pay attention kiddies of today, because this is REAL music. Unlike the crappy formulaic garbage coming out these days, like Nickelback and the like, who were in diapers when the monumental grunge movement took place.
