That's true! He always seems to be somewhere between awkward & indifferent.....yet he always seems sincere & unassuming too. It makes me so sad to watch videos of him & the band he was playing with. How great they all were! And how great was the Grunge Scene in Seattle. It made me wanna stop whatever i was doing - like vacuuming - and next thing u know i was stomping around in tune w the music to early Soundgarden tunes. Thus some parts of the carpet really got every speck of funk sucked away; other areas i barely touched. Then there were the times when I was on the kitchen tile.........holding MY Swiffer mop up m like a microphone stand..... thanking our imaginary audiences. Of course it was me & the guys playing; not just Soundgarden itself. And thank God there are no pictures of this. But i see the videos all over UTube now ......see them playing.......and cant help but reflect back to what i was doing when i heard that song. It's so bittersweet.........to think that this awful money grubbing woman took him away from us forevermore. I hope KARMA hurries up when it comes to HER.
Technically, GN'R have a bunch of songs which are always on setlist. They add some new songs, some some solos but it's about 10 songs which are always there. SG was more interesting band with a huge list of songs to choose from.
They are/were very different bands, so it's not exactly a fair comparison imo. Soundgarden was on the cusp of a new sound in the 90s (grunge/alternative rock), whereas GNR were a conscious throwback to older blues-based hard rock like the Stones, Aerosmith, Jeff Beck, et al. They were both terrific bands in their own right and I'm glad I don't feel a need to directly compare them and rather can just enjoy their music.
Very true. GnR was one of the last in a long line of glam rockers. Soundgarden was one of the first among grunge rockers (who essentially replaced glam rock entirely from what I remember)🤔
OMG CC is the most beautiful man I have ever seen in my life! I am a model and in the modeling industry so I see male models everyday walking past me on the runway and believe me, they don't hold a candle to the beauty of Chris Cornell! From his teens to his 50's he remained beautiful! RIP Je t'aime toujours, I love you always, Chantal
aw thank you chantal. I would like to get my hair to Chris's length however my hair is more straight so i'm worried it wont look as good. What do you think?
Hi Alex, i am sorry it took a little while to get back to you!! I just now saw your message.Well, I have always been a fan of guys with long hair. Straight or curly, it doesn't matter! I love that long, rock- n- roll look, it is super sexy! But you have to make sure you take care of it if you want to make it grow. If you want it to grow fast, here are some tips: Take gelatin supplements every day, they come in little capsules and you take them just like vitamins. They will make sure hair thicker and stronger and less likely to break off so it will stay long. Take a multivitamin and vitamin c every day as well. Drink lots of water too, all of that will make your hair grow really fast and keep it healthy. Make sure to wash and condition it at least every 4 days. Conditioner,a really good one, is the key!. I hope that helps sweetie!! If you want to, you can come on over to my google page anytime and chat, If you have an account, i will add you to my friends list. It was very nice to meet you Alex and chat with you! From Paris with love, Chantal
Last night I dreamt of Chris. I said to him I had always desired to meet him and play music with him. He gave me his necklace and said something nice to me. How sad it was just a dream.
A young, handsome Chris Cornell. A voice of a generation. RIP Chris Cornell. A tragic loss of talent. I'm still trying to make sense of it. This one hurt. 😢
@@eternity68 I agree!!! For me Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington & Warrel Dane were the ones that hit the HARDEST!!! They are all amazing in their own right and they are my absolute musical heroes, of which I have many! And ALL deserve the truth to come to light, as many more do (Kurt, Layne, Scott, Amy Winehouse, etc etc)! Justice for these beautiful souls! May they Rock In Paradise.. I would´ve said Return If Possible but only if they prefer to come back to this hell hole ;D LOL! Loud Love from Holland! ^_^ x
Well, look at that curtain of long dark hair billowing in the wind, foxy eyes behind sunglasses, and his voice that performs acrobatic feats. Chris just oozes animal magnetism. It's quite a sexy package.
i dunno about sexual tension, but they both seem pretty stoned. i love how the interviewer's like 'seriously?' and chris goes 'yeah...' like waddya mean? of course catering's the best part!
Back in 1989 or 1990 i had wrote the fan club so much like every day how much i loved them and how much they helped me and things like that. Eventually around 1991 maybe 1992 around my birthday which is April, well i got like 3 huge posters of Chris Cornell and sound garden and they had all signed it, and a very exclusive black and white photo and I about shit my pants. Writing fir years had paid off. Then my big brother threw a party and all my shit was destroyed and it breaks my heart today i mean this man sang to me my entire life i would live to just show that poster and it said thanks for staying true, and my name like my actual name. But would live to have it and just have the shit now. It's heart breaking.
Chris Cornell is just the whole package my god how perfect can a man be????im still in love going on 30 years, and many more to come, I love you Chris you handsome cat❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's funny how many times people will comment that they think an artist was drunk, high, or stoned during an interview. Most of the time I think people are just saying that because entertainers are typically thought of as drug users. However, in this case, both of these guys were baked out of their gourds.
I liked the catering comment, too! It didn't take him long to answer, and he didn't think of something else to follow that, so I think he meant it! Must've been really good food! Kudos to the caterer! Chris has a sous chef background and still owns his own restaurant in Paris. Funny to see how much the guys differ in interviews from then and now.
Wow I just clicked on some interview that seemed cool and it turns out to be from my hometown. Too bad ‘twas 5 years before I was born and they haven’t been here since
So your saying Soundgarden is a band of bitches who had no balls and couldn't say no to touring with a band they felt "sucked"? So in other words your saying they are just a bunch of pussies who sold out .... thanks for clarifying that for us.
greatgazu Who are you? The reader between the lines? Why are you so angry? Why are you looking for a confrontation. I didn't say that at all and if you are so narrow minded that that's the only thing you could come up with it is totally your problem. Probably if you knew a little bit more about Soungarden you would have understood the comment. And yes,Soungarden hated the tour with Guns and went on with it.

greatgazu Ah,so that's the thing, you are a Guns fan, that explains everything...good luck with that. By saying ,without knowing, that you know more than me about Soundgarden (how's that you know so much about a band that you hate?)and by calling me dipshit you demonstrate you are a narrow minded person and a waste of my time and anyone who reads the comment. Take this advice "great" gazu...you are entitled to your opinion as everybody else so if you wanna discus something and prove your point is right you shouldn't act like that 'cause you make the whole effort pointless. You are not going to convince anybody even if you are right and I guess that's what you want, convencing people Guns are great and Soundgarden sucks. Its not going to happen like that. Or were you just venting some of your daily frustrations? Try being less angry and frustrated,be a little bit more open, polite and yes, don't insult people it is totally useless and spoils the whole debate atmosphere. Maybe that way you'll convert Soundgarden fans into Guns fans.

Chris's hair is sexier than the birds. I blaim over treatment and bleaching. The Badmotorfinger days were so excitimg. I watched these guys climb from SST to SubPop to AM to whatever after....Terrific times.
Kim Thayil 04 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 1960 es el guitarrista de Soundgarden, banda de rock originaria de Seattle y una de las más importantes formaciones de la década de los 90
I have somms and remember it because it was a re-release of the original version of badmotorifnger. The somms version sounds remixed som at higher frequency response. So basically a more trebly sound. More to my liking. And also has the bonus songs and a rare collector's item. I have like 50 of them. shhh....

The EP is SOMMS (SatanOcilateMyMetalicSonatas -- best anagram ever). It has three covers, an unreleased song, and a kickin live rendition of Slaves. They released it with Badmotorfinger, and I'm pretty sure it's never been re-released. It is, however, easy enough to find in mp3 form through the glory of the interwebs. So there ya go.
If you read Slash's bio they all got along ok but SG did have shitty attitudes. All trying to be 'not selling out' typa attitudes but lets be real, they all got into the rock game to make it. Slash himself put it best, "no one forced them to be there."
Kim Thayil's pretty funny. Hey and I remember her from that MJK interview! It was funny. Anyways, I wish I was alive when this tour was happening... :(
