Thats a Knock off version. Their Quality varies. Can be shit, can be perfect. Or bits of both. The KO version has individual articulated fingers though, and added ratchets.

I never skip the transformation segments. Other reviewers talk through it and you can’t see very well, but Jobby gets up close with some nice music and it makes those sequences feel way more enjoyable and easy to follow

Bit of advice Jobby, avoid being rough with Laserbeak as best you can, that mold is actually REALLY fragile and an absolute pain, if not impossibility to replace.

Minor correction: his device mode is a Microcassette recorder, for which the original cassettes were at 1:1 with. He’s often portrayed as a normal cassette player.

Looking back at this review it still aggravates me to this day how close this is to perfection but just falls short. Not to mention the couple missing dino cassette bots to this day. Lets not get into the fact that some of them were exclusive tie ins with repaints. I keep putting off buying this figure in the hopes that a third party or even takara will up the anty and blow this out of the water. However general consensus is that this is basically perfect so I guess I should suck it up and drop a load of cash on it and ebay for the tie ins (maybe a bootleg cuz scalping).

Soundwave was my first masterpiece, though I got the one with the yellow visor and the rest of his cassettes. Came with all the same accessories as yours just with the rest of his cassettes. Question though, did you have trouble with his concussion blaster? The barrel usually gets stuck pretty bad and I'm always scared to scrape it or possibly breaking it

I like how Jobby thought the recording light was the record button, even though the actual record and stop buttons were right under the play button. For someone who would need to know how to identify record/stop functionality; yeah that's kinda a good.

Excellent Kibble management, gloriuos articulation, and outstanding robot form. No paint cheaping (almost) and great alt mode. Basically, everything good from Transformers. Even he has Jac, which no existent IPhone has.
