This makes 12 rolls, not 8 like I said in the video 🤦🏻♂️ Enjoy your dozen crescent rolls! Find the written recipe here: grantbakes.com/sourdough-crescent-rolls
This recipe looks like exactly what I wanted for TGiving this year. Any tips for doubling? Would you suggest doing the bulk fermentation all together and then dividing into two for the shaping?
Yes, you could try, but I’ve never done it before. Just put enough to make the dough lightly sweet. I’m not sure how sweet those ingredients are, so less is probably more.
Omg newbie here!! These look so good I had to make them I'm at the end of the proofing stage I just waited til morning ten hrs would've put me at 2am and even tho I dnt sleep well I wasn't about to be rolling them at at 2am lol so now I'm waiting til at least 5am lol I just made my third sourdough bread but I couldn't wait til I was better at bread making before trying these we LOVE CRESCENT ROLLS!! So this has to be a hit they look amazing..my dough is quite huge def bigger than in your video..hopefully they come out close to what you shared because nothing I've made so far with sourdough has came out like the videos lol but I just keep telling myself I just gotta practice 🤣 I have so much starter made because I have so much I want to make I want to be prepared and not have to wait on it 🤣😂 thanks for these wonderful video they are so helpful to me 😊
Hey it wasn’t updated. I just had to knead an egg into my dough 😅 I got quite the arm workout. Thank goodness I watched the video. I thought “there is no way this dough is supposed to be this dry!”
Was a little disappointed in this version of crescent rolls. Was expecting the flaky butter layered crescent rolls and this is just a heavy yeast roll shaped like a crescent roll!
I think you're thinking of french croissants which are layered with butter and flakey and these are crescent shaped dinner rolls/bread rolls. Two very different baked items but they do look similar!
I made these today. They looked fantastic going into the oven and pooped up nicely, but got way too dark way too quickly. I actually had to remove them after 19 minutes and they were still too dark. I will try again and maybe leave off the egg wash and reduce the heat.
