I understand that booking a group trip upfront can be more cost-effective; however, if other people do not pay their portion, it becomes more expensive or canceled. It's better to book the trip as if you were going alone and invite others to partake in group activities once you are already there.

This was a wholesome case. I’m sure the guy really wanted to go and was really hoping he could get the days off. But he was responsible enough to remain employed. I’m glad the young man got his money back for trying to look out for his homie.

The entire case hinged on whether the defendant had indeed authorized the plaintiff to make the reservations. Despite the defendant's claim that he never gave permission due to not being able to get time off work, his texts proved otherwise. In my view, to avoid such conflicts, it's crucial to have not just verbal agreements but also written documentation, whether through text or email. This is especially important when plans involve monetary payments, as it can prevent misunderstandings and preserve friendships by clearly defining who is responsible for payments.
