This dropping while I’m on vacation on Hilton Head Island is a welcomed coincidence. I grew up in Bluffton, SC, but moved away about a decade ago to Indiana.

Those Spartanburg road signs are in all of Spartanburg County, which has numerous smaller towns in addition to Spartanburg. Also, the first number on little black state road number signs tells you which of SC's 46 counties you're in based on alphabetical order, in which 1 is Abbeville and 46 is York; I noticed the 14 for Clarendon County on the Gable/Sardinia round.

Just found your channel and my whole morning has passed me by. ☺️ But you helped me figure out the exact location of this awesome sight I saw, like, 10 years ago. Out West in Van Horn, Texas. Tysm. I'm in, and originally from, South Carolina. Just so you know... there's a bunch of tiny towns in Spartanburg, SC... Drive a few blocks, and you'll be in the next one. 😄 Also.. Cayce, SC is actually West Columbia. And is pronounced Cay-cee. 👍

South Dakota (the next state) has a really helpful trick: The entire state uses one numbering scheme for its rural roads, especially the grid pattern east. Streets run east-west, avenues run north-south, increasing to the south and east. So an intersection like 245th St and 456th Ave is right by Minnesota, a bit north of Sioux Falls.

Oh wow... I'm sitting by the Asheville Hwy in Spartanburg County! You circled all around me when you got kinda lost 😆 Duncan/Lyman area. That was cool. Btw, that highway is a straight shot from here to Asheville, NC. Why they named it that. It's about a two-hour drive.

Just now able to watch this, but as an SC resident wanted to see your runs. One of my aunts used to live very near to that location on Two Notch Road and I traveled that road about every weekend when I was in college at Carolina. One of my cousins used to live three or four blocks from that location in Cayce. [which btw is pronounced like Kay- C]

I used to live about 15 minutes west of the Cayce location before college, very familiar with that intersection so was cool to see it here!
