yep i remember when it aired on comedy central. the contest was for a charity drive thing and the winner got to have a feature in the south park episode. they never gave any details what the role was gonna be or anything , and this was when they were making 1 episode per week so matt and trey probably didn't even have an idea for an episode yet lol.

@@AiLoveHueThere is one journal entry about some Indians coming to a fort or someplace to trade and being given some blankets from the smallpox ward "to show our respects" or something like that. The thing is, all this happened before the Germ Theory of Disease was known. People had no idea that viruses even existed and I don't know if they had any idea how smallpox was spread. The guy who made that journal entry probably wasn't being ironic, but no one considers that these days.

Alex Explanation: The makers of South Park held a contest for the fans. The winner would get a character of themselves drawn and given a part in an episode. Alex was the winner, so they made South Park's version of Alex and added him to the show. He was allowed to give a quick shout out at his exit. You just watched South Park's award winner show.
