While A.W.E.S.O.M.E-O may be based on ASIMO the latter is named after Isaac Asimov who was a legendary science fiction writer who wrote the 'I, Robot' novel series.

Chinpokomon is another one with Japanese themes. I never realized until recently from a Japanese reaction what chinpoko is is in Japanese. I think Trey speaks Japanese .

Lol remember this episode. Crazy how determined Cartman was. Didn't give up even when he was captured by the military, lol only on some just stupid. South Park to the core. On the other hand he went through just real embarrassing stuff which is just hilarious ASF. He definitely deserved. Kinda liked I guess how the parents saw it, like two kids just playing and having fun despite how it actually is. Kinda sweet with that.

I thought you should know that if you haven't seen the "South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut" Movie, that it fits in immediately after Season 3. Also in the very end of Season 5 a key character is removed from the show but the fanaticism around them causes them to come back in Season 6. So that may raise some questions and now you know why but you still don't know everything because I am trying to tip-toe around spoilers. 😁

One of the kids my grandpa used to babysit a lot when I was a teen (long story lol) had a September 11 birthday. He was born just a few years before 2001. After 2001 I felt bad for him having that day for his birthday. So I too feel bad that Butters must also have a birthday marred by tragedy.

I’m not so sure. That public Asimo footage of mine was from the Tokyo Motor show in 2011. If I’m not mistaken, Honda started developing Asimo in the late 90s and finished him sometime between 2000 and 2002.

I forget the name of the show. It was the late 70's. Starred Bill Bixby. But it started with "People let me tell you 'bout my best friend. He's my one boy, my cuddly joy..." something something. But anyway, that was the reference. You missed that one. Granted, it's pretty obscure. 👍
