Stephen at least has the excuse of his own mother being abusive to him as reason for their harsh behavior to Butters, we see she thinks very little of Butters thinking his romps of imagination and dress up as him being gay when it’s for fun and an emotional outlet as well as her own way of venting the frustration that she is all alone and her own son cannot spend a lot of time with her due to his own responsibilities. Linda on the other hand has no excuse for her behavior except possibly as a result of her psychotic break in the near exclusively Butters episode and recovering from it. Sadly the Stotches are incredibly well meaning and loving they simply do not see the fault in needlessly grounding Butters for the slightest thing. They are the most obliviously evil characters in the show, leaning more on oblivious than evil.
Michael Lutz really butters did nothing wrong? Thank you for informing us of this useful and unknown information, bet you didn’t know water is wet tho.
I like how Butters parents don’t seem to question or even notice that Cartman is sitting on a chair right in their front yard, eating popcorn, when they get home.
Lol poor Butters, kids are abused like him all the time, and thats SAD...but I cant help but laugh at his parents crappy parenting😆 In this episode, Butters, a good kid who is innocent had a BAD ending, and Cartman who is EVIL got a GOOD ending. Let that sink in 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If a day ever comes where this show sees its series finale I need a small part of that to be dedicated to Scott and Linda freaking out as they are taken away in chains, ideally asking desperately "What I do?! What I do?!" I love Butters so much and everything involving him has brought me nothing but joy so I want him to have a happy ending.
That and the warden saying to his guards "You may fire when ready." with Stephen and Linda looking in horror knowing that he just ordered his guards to kill them
My mom was 62 when she first saw South Park, and she died laughing. She made me show her the rest. By far her favorite is Butters, followed by Randy and cartman. Now she’s 70, and still binges this show on wed and fri, and gets sooooo giddy if it’s a “butters episode”. My mom has the best sense of humor. Love ya mom! Edit: GEEZ LOUISE, I thought people would understand the idiom/phrase “died laughing”, but I guess I can understand some confusion given the context. Anyway, she’s alive, fighting cancer, and South Park is literally the only thing keeping her laughing these days. She wants a real life Butters.
I feel if cartman was a good friend he would have said that stuff and then called CPS. That way butters could finally get good parents Edit: ok before you reply, yes. I know cartman doesn't care about butters that's the joke, and yes, I realize the foster care system sucks. I didn't consider that at the time I made my comment. My overall point was the scotches suck and are just as abusive (except maybe not as abusive as the agnostics
Exactly. His parents are horrible human beings and terrible parents who don't know how to parent. They deserved what Cartman said to them, just unfortunate Butters was the one to take the blame.
I can't believe they came home and started beating him. His parents came home and started beating him. His mom tried to drown in a car, his dad just up and left him when the Pandemic hit, he has some awful parents and he's really one the sweetest kids on the show.
Gee Tyler, I think you have watched Southpark a bit too much. It would be like if the simpsons lost krusty the clown!! Butters' creation seems to have been to be the volunteer scapegoat.
The voice acting is quite good, having to do one character try and sound like another without literally doing the voice for the other character must b tough
The good thing about giving Cartman 1/3 of 4 million dollars is that he’s bad at math. You could get away with giving him less and he wouldn’t know you did.
This is one of the few, if not only, South Park gags that I can't smile or laugh about. Out of everything else that happens to butters, this is just the one that always puts me in a sour mood
@@majorfanboy2005 after realizing the shitty things he's done in the past you can't have anymore sympathy for him after he gets the ass whooping he deserved
@@slipknotter Hey, here's a better idea. I know that Carmen's a terrible person but there are times that he actually was nice, like he was more of an anti-hero then a villain. Like the time he said Kyle and his family from getting killed and not taking any of the credit, Or saving some hostages during the time he believed he was a ghost, And Oh Yeah, HE SHOCKED THE FUCK OUT OF SADDAM HUSSEIN AND GAVE A BUGS BUNNY STYLE BEAT DOWN TO OSAMA BIN LADEN! So Yeah, Cartman is not as evil as many people think he is.
@@carultch nope. It's just one of those cases in television where something is changed without explaining & that's just the way it is. Like when characters just disappear from a show & are never acknowledged again. For example Happy Days (Richie & Joanie's older brother Chuck) & Family Matters (Laura's younger sister Judy)
and Butters' parents need to be sent to prison for the rest of their miserable lives for committing attempted murder, harassment and child endangerment
Its really if your parents or the ppl around you have any illegal activity whatsoever going on anything that could put you at risk or in serious danger
"Oh for the love of pete! What is wrong with that boy?" "I don't know, but it's clear it isn't our parenting. We're awesome!" - Mr & Mrs. Stotch, City Sushi S15, E6
The sad thing is, there are parents in real life that are exactly like Butters’ parents. It’s really upsetting to think about that. There’s a term used to describe kids that are sheltered from the world by parents similar to Stephen & Linda Stotch, called “sheltered children”.
The Science Fiction and HORROR AND FANTASY FAN. That made me laugh so hard-this GARGANTUAN Mongol just points to Butters when his parents mistook him for their little boy.
This edit is perfect! Although I thought I saw something weird at the beginning but what I mean is like it just makes sense. Just including the parts of the episode that led up to what happened to butters at the end is such a great watch. Poor butters and Cartman you bastard😂
