I've used both types of computer. I remember in school we learned on Macs because Apple gave away a bunch of free computers to schools to try to get kids comfortable with the interface. At home I used a PC and became familiar with DOS at the time. One thing I have noticed is that the artsy types prefer MAC's and the more computer savvy types prefer PC's. PC users definitely tend to know the in's and out's of their computers better and when they have a problem know enough to trouble shoot it.

I switched to PC after using Mac for years ... recently I tried to switch back to Mac and had been cursing almost everyday ... 1stly, with Mac OS, to do simple everyday tasks, there is VERY OFTEN 1 more key or 1 more action to do than when you are in Windows. 2ndly, with Mac OS Finder, I have to open an extra window just to copy some files from one folder to another simply because the folder tree is not immediately visible (whether you are in a column view or other view options) like in a Windows file explorer. 3rdly, when i drag an image from a website to save in my system folder, it DOES NOT warn me that I already have the same file name in that destination folder .. it simply just add a "-1" to the file name and copy it over anyway -- WITHOUT alerting me that it is doing so or asking me if I really really want to have so many duplicate files of the same content ... 4th, with Mac , if I want to get to my desktop I have to memorise shortcut keys to bypass the other windows. BUT with good old PC, all I have to do is click on a little thing at the corner of a task bar and woosh all the windows are tucked away. 5th, with Mac, at the Finder, if I chose a list appearance, I can hardly see the file icon to know what its image content is like, and there is no way to make it bigger unless i totally switch to another view option. Yup no problem at all to increase icon size in Windows. 6th, if I minimise my windows in PC, I can see the title label of each minimised windows to know their contents. But with Mac, they are minimised into little icons without any wordings.. so I am forces to hover my mouse over it for the word label to appear ... why so troublesome ?? I just keep discovering new stupidities in the Mac environment everyday ... GRRR ..

Buy whatever you fucking want. You don't have to defend yourself to anybody and you don't need to let everybody know your computer is better than theirs. Are there other people that would rather use their computer for doing something other than arguing about how great it is?

And finally, I can promise you beyond the shadow of a doubt that most PC users are inherently studious about what is going into their machines, and the price for that hardware. There's nothing wrong with a Mac.....from a technical standpoint. The problem arises when you start seeing the price tags. That's when you realize that things aren't as they seem, and that Apple is relying on the technical illiteracy of its consumer base in order to maximize profits at your expense.

The thing that people don't get is that PC means personal computer. It has nothing to do with the OS. Macs are PCS, Windows machines are PCS, and Linux machines are PCS. Funny video, though.

I had this pc for 6 years already just upgrading and changing the monitors it had survived that long while macs have glued in hardware which if one breaks your screwed.

PC can do anything a mac can do and more. People say a mac is better for making movies/videos, music and games, however this is not true. Most game developers use a PC to make their game and most of the professional movie making software is only on windows and music wise one of the most used music programs called fruity loops is only on pc. Beginner game making programs like gamemaker are pc only, and most game developers say it's easier to make a game engine on a pc then mac. A PC is also more open source then a mac (look up open source on google if you don't know what it is). Most of the most highest played games like battle field, call of duty and minecraft (however minecraft came out for mac a year and a half ago... Such a waste of time to port it over) only work on pc, and the games that do run on mac get very low FPS (frames per second). A video shows a custom built PC for 3000 dollars running 60-70 FPS on metro last light, while the mac pro (also 3000 dollars) is running at 20-30. However i will say that a mac starts up faster, but that is because it has less programs and hardware to power up. So tell me, what exactly is a mac better at then a pc? And be descriptive please :/

pc focuses on computer which is itself while mac focuses on the look. mac yes its classy good looking has beautiful interface some unique features but thats all.

Macs are user friendly & pre-packaged in other words it's for people that don't know shit about computers and just want to get some work done. While PC's are for guys that the Mac users go to when their Mac breaks down. And for people who say that windows break all the time that's only when people who should be using a Mac are trying to use a PC.

Premiere Pro, for instance, will use up practically every Gig of RAM in your system if you tell it to, and for great reason. CPU does play a vital factor too yes. CUDA integration with Premiere's Mercury Playback Engine, for instance, offers a gigantic performance boost by utilizing the video card's many individual processing cores. Imagine a GTX690 fueling your render times.

It depends on the processor. But if you look on intel's website, there are very few, if any proccessors that will suport over that much RAM. Even my 3rd gen i7 can only support up to 32 gigs of RAM.

Actually no, my mistake. He was saying that macs are more expensive than pcs. But you can build a budget rig like I did. I meant that some extreme custom gaming pcs can cost way more than macs (and faster)

As for the Apple-specific programs you mentioned....... Final Cut is beaten by Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, which allows for things that Final Cut simply cannot do, including multi-format timelines without transcoding, and out-of-box support for several professional features that Final Cut lacks. Logic Pro is beaten (easily) by ProTools, the industry standard. I won't even dignify the Aperture thing with a response, except that it begins with"P" and ends with "P."

I'm fairly certain that's what I was talking about when I said "without Windows," yes? Funny thing is, I can run OSX on my PC without virtualization, just as easily as you can run Windows on your Mac. The Origin EON17-S Pro has the same specs as the Retina Macbook Pro, and costs $100 dollars less. I've already said that the Retina is a great value for that amount but....that's all Apple has. They don't come in 17", while the EON does, and it's hardware limit is capped.

To address your first statement in here. Yes mac's are vulnerable but they are less vulnerable. I have written a java application that gives me lets call it "remote administration access" to a machine. Because it is written in java it is multi platform (unix,linux,windows) anything that has java installed on it. However to "install" the program I a linux machine and im pretty sure unix follows the same rules you need the super user. You can phish the passwords though from noobs.

I agree, computers do sumck (changing spelling so YT doesn't censor), there's always an unbelievably impossibly unlikely bug to make your blood boil in anger. Sometimes we have the impression that there's a little devil causing these bugs just to drive us nuts.

I have a gaming desktop with windows 10, and then I have my MacBook Pro for school work, and just watching movies and chilling. I love both OS’s, but if I had to say the most user friendly and nicest looking is Mac OS, but windows is for us people who play games, program things, and just about anything else. I love and respect both. My mom on the other hand only uses Mac OS, but that’s because she likes to transfer her photos from her iPhone and she only uses it for work and entertainment.
