No one knows how long they had been doing it, but the first recorded PBR occurred at a Broncos game with one drunken fan and a young fern. The fan quoted after the arrest, "the bi**h asked for it".

This joke is so funny and clever that each time I watch it, I am driven to consider existentially what *is* a joke? Because here we have a joke that is at once completely context-independent yet somehow so context-specific. Formally [1 beep = yes; 2 beeps = no: beep-beep -> “yes, yes.”] the comedy requires nothing that happens in the episode to have occurred, it’s a wildly simple concept you could apply in many situations. It’s almost an Abbott & Costello gag, with the dunce misreading a code. But the way it plays here, more than just being silly, is as the lynchpin in the story: the whole plot resolution hinges on Miss Claridge being the only witness/victim who could reveal their guilt, but at the critical moment a regular townsperson makes this very basic error of logic to exonerate them, undoing any and all consequences the drama might’ve had. Totally unexpected, totally out of place, shockingly stupid, artfully subversive. But the joke underneath it is just sublime. Absolutely brilliant. I have to tip my cap to Trey and Matt. This was a joke waiting to be told, the gods of comedy demanded it, and my dudes delivered.

The references you get never cease to amaze me. How on Earth have you watched all this stuff? Man, I love South Park, and have probably seen every episode since season 4 at least 10 times, but every time I see your reactions to an episode, I learn new stuff. This channel is truly a godsend for every South Park aficionado. P.S. Yes, the Stotches are absolutely the worst parents in all of South Park (which is a really low bar to begin with). It's a miracle Butters is such a good kid with such terrible parents, honestly.

Dash has a great attention to details in each episode. I'll give him that. However I was surprised he didn't mention anything about Cartman's buttocks decorated to look like a rack. I vividly remember an IRL picture of someone actually doing it. Like a man's behind decorated to look like a rack with necklace, dress and long blonde hair. Was it an SNL sketch or something? Does anyone know? Google didn't help this time.

My dad is a huge Star Trek fan (the original). When this episode came out, he got the reference and I didn’t, so Dad started laughing so hard he couldn’t speak and was thinking, “Damn, Dad, that’s pretty dark…” then he explained it was from Star Trek and that made it even funnier.

1:43 Fun fact: they used actual little preschool aged kids to play the boys in the flashback, and after this episode aired Trey Parker's mother called him on the phone and asked "did you have a bunch of little kids actually swearing in this?" And Trey had to explain to her that they can substitute words with softer ones, like 'dummies' and bleep over to make it sound like whatever they want.

Shelley actually is a really good sister if you think about it, she had no personal ulterior motive to having Stan and his friends go make amends with the teacher, other then it was the right thing to do. There’s no real reason she would make Stan stop running from his past if she didn’t care about him

The fact that nobody thought to check the teacher's battery and just assumed she's putting herself in harm's way & ignoring everyone kills me 😂😂😂. Would recommend Le Petit Tourette (cartman tries to take advantage of Tourettes syndrome but gets his comeuppance) or A Ladder to Heaven (this one is useful for context for a lot of other episodes in the future)

I don’t know where he’d watch those episodes. They’re some of the few episodes that are not allowed on streaming services like HBO Max. If he does manage to react to those episodes, he’s most likely gonna have to heavily censor the video.

The Callback to the Star Trek pilot is just delicious. Hey, if you see this, I went to the Starship launch in Boca Chica. I did it on a whim at the last second. So I drove 18 hours because I couldn't get a flight, and I just planned on camping. But I got to South Padre Island a little after midnight. Walk down the beach to get as close as possible to the launch site, wrapped up and went to sleep. Turns out that I fell asleep directly in front of where SpaceX was having their launch party. Technically I was supposed to be there. But nobody made me leave. So I got to hang out with SpaceX engineers. After a few hours bouncing ideas back and forth, they asked me where I was staying. I told him I had no idea, and they invited me to sleep on a couch in one of the trailers. When the launch was scrubbed on Monday, I could spend the next couple of days hanging out with them, and we went over to Starbase. Got to meet couple of the people who had flown on the Dragon capsule. And some of the people selected for the first manned Starship flight. My semi-autistic memory served me well because I remembered enough details to be able to intelligently talk with them about technical details even if I couldn't remember what any of their names were. It was just very exciting and cool. And I completely recommend going to one of those launches if you get a chance. We had a funny discussion about the scrub on Monday, and whether or not that was a genuine scrub or if given the fact that we're talking about Elon Musk, did he deliberately delay the launch April 20th 4 ship24, booster 7. 420 24 7...

when you freeze framed the "To Patronize and Annoy on the cop car." you can see Heidi in the background as the same age as the kids now, funny little mess up there.
