Thanks you.... I'm in Australia now have been for 25 years and I'm a born bred southend girl... I even remember the royals opening... My school was in Boston Ave (old prittlewell) and when we bunked off we go to Victoria circus and the Inshops ( I was also in the Southend blue jackets marching band and we had coins thrown at us at every carniva)l I'll never forget chalkwell fair (I live in westcliff c my brother would get a job every year on the dodged or motor rotor (RIP Danny) My best mate from prittlewell is visiting me here me this month !! Southend will always be my home xx

Lived in Southend-on-Sea for many years. Good to see that the high street is doing well, unlike a lot of other shopping centres.

Five years ago my wife and I, our son and his wife went to the Princess Caroline restaurant for her birthday treat, on the way in a seagull sh1t all down her coat, got the bill and upon checking it the crooks had charged us for a £45 bottle of wine plus some cocktails we never had, be warned!
