Dang, so many negative comments! Constructive criticism is ok but personal insults are just plain mean. Personally, I think he's got a few good jokes. But, LIKE EVERY COMEDIAN EVER TO EXIST, not all jokes will win with all people. He's more of a story teller who throws in jokes along the way. This kind of comedy isn't for everyone, but I appreciate it. 🙂🙂🙂 Edit: Even his live audience seems to agree with many of the comments here. To his credit, when they were just silent, instead of getting upset or quitting, he found ways to make them make noise. If not laughter, then at least some kind of sounds to show agreement with a statement. So all in all, he's a great comedian, even if the actual material doesn't always hit.🙂🙂🙂
99% of comedians on here are Excellent in thier own way and enjoyable to watch, Once! Been a fan here a few years and since this latest world lie has shutdown everything they haven't had a New Comic or Video now in nearly 3 years ! 5th Repeat is a bit much by this stage with some of their choices. Need Fresh shows that simple,.
@@dixieboy5689 Or some fresh shows... Time for new content please. 3 years of Repeats is Crazy... I've been forced to watch that crap Chicago comedy club and it's so liberal and NOT FUNNY But they have fresh shows the entire last 6 months
Retired Confederate re-enactor (26 years) here. It’s true, most of our work was done in the summer months. We dressed in authentically real dress - yes, our men did wear wool in many cases - down to wire glasses for those who needed corrective lenses. We hope we exemplified real historical value for the crowds who came to watch.
That sounds incredible but I am so sorry for you. I thought for sure some hundreds must have died when he (Mark) started explaining it. It's already hot enough over where I am, well, in the summer at least.
@@Silhouex • As I said, we tried to make it as historically-correct as possible, and many battles and skirmishes took place during spring, summer, and fall. A big one we’ve done several times in the past is the Battle of Gettysburg, fought over three days during early July. Also, more spectators come out and enjoy the battles in warmer months. Of course winter battles and skirmishes were fought in winter, as well: a historical local one we did annually comes to mind New Years Eve at the Battle of Parker’s Crossroads, for example. We also engaged the public in educational seminars, full dress Q & A trips back in time, and others. The Civil War narrative that has been taught and absorbed by the past several generations is not correct.
@@gomphrena-beautifulflower-8043 Just wait until fall and be like, "Ok, we're gonna pretend it's the middle of August in the Civil War." I just imagine several people needlessly get heat strokes all to commemorate a war you lost.
@@Silhouex • Our Northern friends re-enact too during those months, as they portray the opposing side. Why don’t you visit a major re-enactment sometime? Those have the Yankee and Rebel camps, sometimes as many as hundreds of tents pitched near the battlefield, and you can walk through acres and acres of period camps where you can see how 1860s soldiers lived inbetween battles. Our Battery (Artillery) always had a field hospital set up (staffed by a real MD who loved re-enacting too! I assisted him several times as his nurse (I’m a retired RN) so it was kind of neat. We had several caissons with real cannons, gunpowder charges that made a lot of fire and smoke. In the Cavalry and Infantry divisions, there might be thousands of reenactors and a multitude of horses at them. But most people who re-enact just love history and want to understand as much as possible about everything that truly happened. I think you might come to appreciate the historicity. Make plans to attend an event and get the feeling of the 1860s when “brother fought against brother.” God bless!
Really? You've never heard someone's dad make that joke, or the "he's so old his social security number is 3"? I mean if he can make a career out of this, cool. But this is like....funny 4th grade teacher level of comedy lol
I don't think everyone made the connection that dinosaurs are related to chickens. They just thought "oh yeah, cus everything tastes like chicken" So for many it may have seemed like a pretty old joke.
Locking gas cap? 🤣 🤣 That was nothing short of brilliant!! Had me bent over in full, uncontrolled belly laughter. He takes a few minutes to warm up, but this Commedienne is spot on, and has a broad range of material. Well done, kind Sir. Thanks once again, DB, for your continuing to post such great talent and giving us our much-needed endorphin injections... 🤣😎🤣 Much love and prayers always to you and yours, everyone, from your eternal sister in Christ somewhere near Seattle. ⚘ 🙏 ❤ 🙏 ⚘ P.S. For Christmas, I usually buy a useful item that most people will use. One year, it was locking gas caps, $15 each. Buy 20, $300. Christmas done in one on the Debit Card. Just filled up my gas tank on the SUV. Almost $65. Yikes!! This year's Christmas? $15 each, bought 20. $300. Item? 10-foot long cell phone chargers. Best thing since sliced bread! Stay safe, y'all... 😷
The VHS joke reminded me of recording movies and shows. Remember rushing back before the commercial was over, because this might be your one chance to record that movie or show? 😆
Yeah, I got a couple little laughs out of it while watching this for free on RU-vid with nothing better to do....but, I would have been disappointed if I went as far as to go out to the club and pay admission or for a ticket.
That's how comedy works sometimes. Something only has to be true at a glance to be funny. However you'll notice that those comedians will kind of hurry along to keep the crowds attention so they forget the details of the joke.
One of the most brilliant ppl i ever met was a kid from a southern farm that, in our private discourses, would challenge Einstein. We met at MIT, and his nuanced inflectives and gentle urgings implied a depth and breadth of knowledge that, to this day, leaves me breathless. All the while, spoken with that easy Southern drawl. I dont know what happened to him, but my life is so much ridher having known hiim. And on campus, they called him, 'a hick from the farm'. Oh my God, how wrong they were! Never judge a book by its cover!
Hooterville which was the fictional town for both Green Acres and Petticoat Junction was supposed to be in Indiana. Many thought that was because of the contempt that New Yorkers had for Hoosiers. I am proud to be a Hoosier, not a New Yorker.
Oooooooof. I didn't realize Everyone's Dad had a drybar special. I only made it halfway through, does he ask an audience member to pull his finger at any point?
The line about both teams needing to know they're playing for hunting to be a sport is false. You go hunting elk all you see is deer and you hunt deer all you see is elk they know its a game and they take advantage of it , they tell all the other animals
I live 100 miles south of Stone Mountain Ga. They don't even allow Confederate reenactors in the park. Plenty of reenactments in the area but not Stone Mountain. Maybe he is confusing it with Andersonville.
I wish I could give some constructive criticism, but I don't know why I did not find his jokes funny... Maybe the wrong audience, maybe the wrong delivery...
funny thing is in my area, the animals know the difference between engine backfire and a rifle shot. They know come october to hunker down because it's hunting season. Archery season comes before that though... and theres no shots to be heard for miles to warn their friends that one of got git.
It’s cool lost my southern double degree legally blind father at 30 who fully planned and created why emote college fund , southern men are smart . Especially legally blind . I controlled the boat night fishing from 6 years olds took dad and his 3 legally blind brothers dad was blind too. I don’t know how but they could tie my hook and and take catfish off ! All had masters degrees from UAB , Auburn, and Jacksonville . They needed me cause when they hosted back to camp ( see they are smart can remember everything to just how long it takes to get beck without looking at a clock . But you pull up to the camps on the river . Lights are a blur, but I could see . So I got to go on the all night fishing trips and sleep half the day and ski all afternoon ! Yep legally blind men can barefoot better than anyone , if you don’t fear what’s up ahead you just rock the show right ! Amen ! Would not trade it for the world ! We played so hard ! All of us ! Forget crafts , we played and my dad and his brothers were the men that saw the best out of any man I have ever know , seeing us one thing but really seeing us another !
You know what's hilarious? Some people spend all their energy trying to force others to bring more babies into the world and then say and do nothing for 3 million children homeless or in foster care.
@@Silhouex -- How is saying that a woman who voluntarily engaged in the activity that she knew could cause her to become with child can not go a murder her baby a few months later forcing her to bring more babies into the world? Do you think abortion is the good thing, and having a baby the bad thing?
Finally someone who asks the people to "....please stop calling hunting a "sport". There's nothing sporting about it. Thank you, Mark Evans. It takes guts to stand up on stage and say that.
hunting: Both teams know there's a sport... why do you think the animals are always on alert? They know they are prey. Not just by humans. It's the basic food chain. Post a schedule: really? schedules for hunting season are posted every year. Sport Definition: an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others therefore, by the simples and most obvious definition... hunting is a sport. Not sporting? how in the world is hunting not sporting? You must be thinking of farming... or going to walmart to get your burgers. it doesn't take guts to say this... it takes ignorance of the basic definition of words...
@@chrissmith9286 I'm not saying to hunt or not to hunt, but the idea that it's not a sport, as defined by the dictionary, is just ignorance at best, stupidity at worst.
Nothing to do with this video but RU-vid is getting worse every day. The censorship, the ads, and now THE SKIP THE ADS TRICK ISNT WORKING ANYMORE!!! I knew it would happen some day but oh well trying to find a replacement for youtube
Or $10p/h for 20hrs a week because they are an older person... 🤷🏼♀️ They could get scheduled for 4 five hour days. Or an 8 and two 6's... It's only slavery if that's the pay they are making while working "full time"
I don’t think that’s what they mean by Truckers. I’d be shocked if they have a truck bigger then 40 feet on the whole island. And I am a truck driver, the real kind.
It's pretty common unfortunately. Nearly every comedy special I see there are "stolen" jokes. However it's entirely possible to write the same joke by accident. I know I once wrote what I thought was my joke. Luckily it never saw a stage but it turned out to be someone elses joke. He also told a version of Robin Williams "cotton swab" joke. It's questionable but I wouldn't be so quick to assume it was intentional.
Believe it or not, a lot of people have died due to having their intestines pulled out, because the suction is so powerful. On toilets. Edit: "on toilets"
