Absolutely amazing. I know you did this 3 ago, but it blew me away. Your youth and your knowledge is astounding. I just found one of these beauties when I raised up my garage door and wanted to know more about them and came across your video. Very informative! Mine was a lot more active than your little fellow. Thank you for sharing the wisdom. You're a Richard Attenborough in the making. Keep pursuing it, keep teaching us. Keep the fascination alive within you. Branch out to other creatures. Nature is so cooool!

You are very knowledgeable about snakes. Snake looks a bit listless, probably from too much handling, so thanks for catching and releasing Adler! Great job!!!

Adler, its awesome that youve found a passion for reptiles at such a young age, keep it up. As you grow your gonna learn more then you could ever dream, and most of that will come through time and the effort put into herping, youll make mistakes here and there, youll have a few scary moments, but you'll learn and grow from them. That being said, please don't take this the wrong way, or allow it to discourage you in any way, but who ever is holding the camera or any one that is any where close to you should have stepped in immediately and corrected you. You absolutely cannot handle any animal the way your handling that ring neck snake. You are 10000 times larger then him, and yet you are thrashing him around like a toy, wrapping his tail in your pinky finger and prying on his mouth to force him to open it. Again I understand your young and learning, but at the end of the day if this is an interest of yours, you have a passion, love and ultimate respect for reptiles, or animals in general. They are not here for our amusement, they are not toys to be used how ever youd like. When you said "he actually really wants to bite me" you probably don't fully understand how correct you are. I found your video to try to find help with 2 of my ring necks eating. Ive owned and handled ring necks for over 25 years now. Never once outside of hand feeding them has a single one ever even thought of opening its mouth at me. He is doing that the same way a human would scream out in pain or a dog would yelp. I have never found one that has shown the slightest of aggression. They want nothing more then to be left alone and conceal themselves from you. As far as their fangs and venom, they are "rear fanged" not back fanged and chances of you ever seeing actual fangs are pretty much zero. They are insanely small and at the rear of his mouth....... Any animal but especially a snake of that size treat it like you would treat a newborn baby. You wouldn't support its legs then on a whim release the head and allow it to swing wildy cuz its neck would snap and kill the child. That's what your doing when you release half of his body and allow him to swing in your hand. It doesn't take much at all to severe its spine. And what ever you do please do not ever attempt to force any animals mouth open. Again his jaw is fragile to a fault. Its takes no effort to break it. If you would have done so, you would have signed his death warrant and caused him to suffer a horrible slow death of starvation and pain. Im sure these things weren't intentional, and again don't take it as a negative. Your learning. Keep it up. Master the basics though early and quickly. Before you know it, you'll be like me and have moved your passion further and have a collection of venomous snakes. A mistake like that when a venomous snake can easily end your life. Keep it up, your doing great, and please remember, they aren't toys. As amazing and cool as they are its a privilege and honor to be able to have hands on interactions with these animals. Always remember that buddy. If you ever have a question or anything I could possibly educate or help you with when it comes to herping id be more then honored to help you. Keep it up bud!

Luckily it's venom can't kill people because I have a northern ringneck. It also has rear fangs so they have to chew to inject venoum

Ringed necked snakes actually don’t have fangs, they are venomous to prey only, they are very chill

They do have fangs! They're just at the back of their mouth instead of at the front like is more commonly known.
