I think Lex might have an ego issue. He thinks because he was better back then, that it will still matter now. I also find him very hypocritical sometimes. When you throw rocks, you gotta stand on it. You can’t get all humble and meek.

In my honest opinion it’s just petty now. Both of them along with TM, Metro, and Sonny Digital have a huge influence on producers now including myself. Without them where would we be at? That’s my take on it.
Bro, you can’t deny southside and his musical abilities, but man, I really do not like this guy’s personality. I wish I would, because I can’t deny how influential he is to current hip-hop, and how influential he was to me as a producer, but man, his vibe is just so off and has always been off. I do agree, Lex beats are not as good as they used to be, I feel like he instead of creating the wave, jumped on the new wave, but they just don’t hit the same. Southside could’ve said that same thing, but Southside has this disrespectful, narcissistic energy around him, and he has always had that shit. This is so disheartening because these two were two of my biggest inspirations growing up making music. I want nothing more than for Lex to get back to the top of the game where he belongs. Man is a genius. He just needs to tap back in.
I have a cousin who acts just like Southside. Southside is a narcissist. Like Donald Trump or Elon Musk. Southside has always been like this though even in the beginning. I guess it works in his favor because he's very successful. Lex was always the humble guy. Sometimes cocky but mostly a humble chill dude. I think with Lex, it's harder for him to come back because the competition is so much stronger nowadays. But I think if he increased his musicianship, then he could come back. Lex was talented because he knew how to stay ahead of everyone else. Like he was doing so many things that we all do now with the sound selection. But yea.

OPINION: All of southsides beats are hard but sound the exact same.......Lex Luger's new beats are kinda wack but atlest he is creative and sometimes does different types of beats other than Trap ............TM88 is a better trap and alternate genre producer than both of them. Something off about Southside.....He mad about something. Lex more at peace. Southside always wanted to be a "gangsta" producer or some shit....Never really liked his personality like that or vibed with him
