AirTran out of Atlanta was ready for takeoff when we backed out of the gate!!! Once we moved forward, we didn’t stop until we our destination gate!!! Happy Days Flying back then😁
Whenever I fly the FA’s always announce they’ve been cleared for departure when in reality it seems impossible because like you said there are other aircraft ahead in line, so must be something they all do just because
I've noticed that ALL Southwest flight attendants make that announcement as soon as they hear the "ding-dong" tone whenever they're on the taxi way like that. I think it's actually just the captain's subtle way of telling the cabin crew that they need to be seated.
@@CJWJR Yes it is a WN procedure. About 1 minute before departure, number 2 in line for departure, or approximately 1,000 feet of taxi distance remaining, the captain will hit the ATTEND button which makes the 'DING-DONG' sound. I don't know why the FA's have to announce, "Cleared for departure" because of that.
No, the fan blades move slightly faster than that because the buzzsaw sound comes from the tips of the fan blades breaking the sound barrier. Around 5200-5500Rpm
