Just a heads up, some clips have a slightly different sounding voice, as I recently worked on making my Mic sound more clear. Its something I try to work with every week and so far, I think I nailed it. You'll notice it in the beginning intro and in the final clip. If you like what you hear, let me know :D Also I am moving my Battlefield 2042 Content to my second channel, more info soon...
It’s my best performing russian tank. The 80 line is honestly the most relaxing russian line since the tanks can actually reverse and their stock speed is super good. Plus that 6.5 reload will save your life from ppl without an expert crew.
1:50 the Russians had Lekalo before, but with the Soviet/Russian ammo change they removed Lekalo and replaced it with Svinets. Then later they added Svinets-2 to the modern Russian tanks, i.e. B3 and BVM.
Свинец 2 is Tungsteen sabot, свинец 1 is DU sabot with more penetration...SV2 have around 700mm penetration, and SV have around 740mm... APFSDS penetration=his length...so if you have sabot long 560mm its penetraton is same or less then his length...so svinets 1 is lenght around 740mm and penetration is same, SV2 is 700mm and his penetration is ~700mm, DM53 is long as i remember aroun 750mm so it pen is ~750mm on 0 degree and 2000m away for any of them... T-14 armata has 900mm long APFSDS so its easly pen 900mm of armor...
Gaijn does that on purpose. if somthing is making too much money ie dm53 they nerf it, instead of adding equal tanks to all nations. cant have the players have too much fun
I think spalling has to do with the penetration value and the thickness of the armor it hits. High pen APFSDS just goes through armor with little spalling because the high pepetration. Lower penning shells struggle more so they create more spalling. This was the case as well back in the 1800s with steel ball ammunition. High velocity ammo created less spalling/splinters when it hit thin wooden plating because the ball just went straight through the ship on both sides with little problem. Low velocity ammo in the other hand when it hit thicker plating created more splinters because it gave time for the wood to break.
@@d_daniel6263 That's not how this particular case works I'm afraid. Spalling is dependant on energy left upon entry, it needs that velocity right as it punches through the armor to create a large exit hole that creates the spalling. All of that doesn't matter in the slightest though. The killer isn't just spalling - it's overpressure. In real life it's common to see the hatches of tanks blowing open upon getting a penetrating hit. That amount of pressure is lethal to the crew, so if realism were to be a priority (and I know it isn't) a penetrating hit would always knock out a tank. There's too much energy behind them for it be otherwise.
They have hidden stats in this game that they adjust whenever they feel like it. Like engine sounds tank height and hitboxs. Little cheeky ways to "Balance"
This tank is always my 4th-3rd backup at 11.0, after B3 and BVM. Only reason i dont use it as often as i would like to is because i really want to give some love to the T-90, waiting for the day 90M comes, maybe 90MC but that's probably too evil.
5:59 that invisible fire also happened to me like last 2 weeks or so when i was playing my jagdtiger there's a fire indicator on the bottom left thing but i see no fire so i shrug it off and i died being burnt like a minute later also no fpe rip
They also keep buffing the armour of top tier Rusfed tanks, the Relikt on the T72B3 and T80BVM eats the side shots the front driver hatch weakness is now never a 1 shot (when using British L27A1) Its hugely frustrating that these already incredible performing tanks keep getting stealth buffs and additions they didnt need a T80U in a 10.0 or 9.7 game just dominates. Just go and compare the armour of one of your older videos and see if you could tank 6-7 shots like that in the tunnel, it wouldnt happen. Gaijin use too many sliders, to adjust spalling, or armour pen or module damage. Its a sweet coincidence that everyone that shoots you is "potatoing thier shot" You took an ADATS missile into the side of your tank and it didnt one shot you.
Totally true, what I said in the comments, RUSSIAN BIAS ARE REAL AND ARE RIDICULOUS. I dont play toptier cause its unnplayable and a complete mess but at mid tiers russian bias are strong too.
Penetration of APFSDS or sabot depend oh his length. So if we have 700mm svinets 2 logn sabot he will penetrait around ~700mm of armor at 0 degree on 2000m, or around 370mm on 60 degree ...Svinets 2 is tungsteen alloy sabot and svinets 1 is DU sabot with more length and more penetration at 2000m, 740mm length and around 740mm of penetration at 2000m 0 degree, and around 400mm at 60 degree... same as nay NATO round....in game they reduced penetrations i do not why is that, but they do that...also rld time on russian tank are more faster when they shoot same rounds, when you change it from one type to another you need more time to autoloader find that round and load it to gun...but when you shoot same type it was faster then man loader in any tank...
6.5 sec reload, good mobility, great round. Not counting Russian bias (yes, it's a joke), what more could you ask for? :3 The T-80U is certainly a very respectable opponent to face and it deserves credit even from us poor souls who die to it.
It might be just an artificial nerf towards the Dm53 since it definatelly was added too early. The spalling difference with the 43 though i dont know other than the fact that its mass and muzzle velpcity is wrong alongside with the ofl120f1 which is just the same round(muzzle velocity is correct though with the french) Spalling is rather inconsistant in the game. Might also be due to the servers
DM 53 in my experience one shots all the same as any other round might just be me but i have no issue killing any thing at top tier in one hit that is if i hit where i want to
@@yedidyah Lol yea right, seriously man ur fun to watch and ur skills in the game are great ,we def expecting you to start your own youtube channel in near future.Good luck in battle comrade :)
@@jebator988 Thank you! I will see if I go for that route or not, because, unfortunately, I don't really have that much time and I am definitely not very creative/entertaining imo
@JustinPlays Hello sir, could you make a video about T-55AM premium version? I found only non premium ver. on your channel and i would like to see your opinion on its prem brother. Keep up in good work sir
Was my fav tank before bvm came out, now I can't play it cuz of slow turret and low res thermals, researched t72b3 cuz of it and now I'm happy with best 11.0 lineup
@@yedidyah we were once upon a time regarded as the Lucky country... Our government has slowly destroyed this once great country and now we are pathetic... along with our Ping ;)
Bro I've heard you mention the 'mango' round so many times now and not once have you explained why it's called that. People who used to play WT like 3+ years ago watch your videos my man, please explain shit to us relics.
that tank has a shell equal to the leo2pl which is the same BR and the IPM1 which is 10.3. Leo 2pl has better thermals for bot com and gunner, better reverse speed, gun handling and survivability, the same for the IPM1 but it also has 5 sec reload. The t80u has the best hp/t though. they are all balanced imo maybe except the ipm1 which im not sure why isnt 10.7.
Dude they need to make all thermals the same its bs. I think ussr has the best thermals for some reason. Balance is needed, maps are needed and oh my the servers are so bad !
@@Phapchamp A) T-80BVM got 3rd Gen Thermals in WT; it has same resolution like the Leo 2PL irl, but somehow, the 2PL has only 2nd Gen in the game. b) The CITV doesn't really matter all too much anymore, because as soon as one crew dies, the commander replaces it and it renders the CITV useless. c) Russia gets Thermals also before 10.0, BMP-3, BMP-2M etc.
@@Phapchamp I collected those sources and already reported it, but they simply closed the bug report. So I didn't bother again. The resolution of the sensor array is exact same one as of the 2PL, but yet by the 2PL they say "it is more in line with 2nd Gen in our game" despite the manufacturer stating "3rd Gen" ... but by the thermals of the BVM they believe what manufacturer says with "3rd Gen" and implement it.
"This round for whatever reason has a lot of postpen damage" Dude is a russian shell what do you expect? In this game all russian vehicles are buffed with cryptic modifiers and the rest are nerfed. Yes. Russian bias are ridiculous in my opinion. One example is the aphe and aphebc shell ridiculous modifier against angles. ¿Guess who is the only nation who uses aphe and aphebc?
Let's be honest. Russian tanks get penned at top tier and don't die it takes like 3 pens to kill a top tier Russian tank. Meanwhile Russians are killing m1a2s and A6s through the breach all the way through.... this game is purely Russian propaganda.
@@ayfr1249 No its not LFP kills the driver and hits the engine it misses the ammo so they just one shot you, the breach shot now only takes out the breach, the driver spot lucky if you one shot the tanks now and the side shots as proven in the vid you just watched now no longer gaurantees a one shots, it gets worse when you coat the sides in Relikt armour. Rusfed tanks with no blow out panels cramped interiors and unprotected ammo carosels now have a greater survival rates than western MBTs its farcical.
Yes, buff the Russians more, not like they are completely overpowered rn with 4 top tier tanks, 4 11.0 planes and 4 stupidly overpowered top tier helicopters 🤡
@@A4L3R tanks aren't the best objectively, but the sheer number of capable backups is what's annoying. Don't even have to argue about helicopters, Russia is just completely dominating there. And that winrate of the MLD rn? Pretty much speaks for itself.
@@dukezero5074 What do Rusfed tanks do badly? High mobility Great firepower Great armour Unpenetrable front hull and Turret (excluding tiny weakspot) Great gun handling Gen2 and Gen3 Thermals ATGMs Low silhouette Oh yea they have poor gun depression which is never an issue because Gaijin make us fight in citys or flat tiny maps so Russin players can hit W and zoom around.
@@lukewhitehouse4103 Mobility is good but not as good as some NATO tanks Armor is definitely good in some spots but Russian tanks have huge weak spots lol. Probably twice as much weakspot-area as an m1a2 or leopard 2a6. Plus they have their ammo rack in the hull, which enables pretty easy ammo detonation kills. Firepower is obviously really good, but mostly with 3BM60. Dm 53 on the 2a6 and the silver bullet of the m1a2 are subjectively better. ATGMs are rarely useful. Depression can be quite a huge factor actually, as top tier mbts are shining in hull down positions, which you often times can't really do properly with Russian mbts unless suspension shooting Low silhouette doesn't really matter either cause thermals
@@dukezero5074 Rusfed tanks have tiny sliver on the front plate, the whole upper plate of the 2A6, the M1A2 and the Challenger 2 can be penetrated, then we have the lower front plate shot that will only kill the driver and miss the ammo but hit the engine or set the fuel tank on fire. The carosel has also been buffed and is now pure rng if it detonates. Its also hilarious that 3 nations ingame have rounds specifically designed to defeat Kontakt 5 but Gaijin refuse to model it for "balance" I Like how you compare 3 rounds when we have 7 nations that have top tier tanks Its funny that. No one including Gaijin gives a crap about the Leclecr, STRV 122, Challenger 2, Arriete and the Type90 ATGMs are good for helicopters and taking out breaches on tanks you dont have los. I agree depression should be a huge factor, but thankfully for all the Russian players top tier maps are the smallest ingame or they are urban environments so Russian tanks rarely have this issue, recent maps added Spaceport basically a flat city, and Arral sea flat desert with a town area, the lack of depression isnt critical. Gaijin know this so they add maps that will not hurt Rusfed tanks, imagine more huge maps like Maginot, you know maps where terrain and placement is important... Low silhouette is more important than gun depression at top tier, you can literally rush between tiny pieces of cover never exposing yourself, whereas the M1, Leopard and NATO tanks will be shot in the side.
