Shot a matilda point blank with Sturmpanzer 2 on the side. "No pen". Try again, same spot, one shot. Or all of those KV surviving this, when I hit the turret it gets the tracks and when I hit the hull it gets the gun barrel. 10 fucking 10 would sturm again gayjob.

NATO tanks are always good 'balanced' such as M48 had better armor than M60 for months when M60 got 'balanced' 2 years ago then they 'balanced' M48 too...

@@gargean1671 Prolly because T-80U got pretty close to its real life armour values, while L2A5 armour is one hecc of an artificial nerf because what we saw on test (the second one) was the fairly accurate hull armour and overperforming turret armour. It should end up with ~700mm vs KE on hull and ~800mm+ vs KE on turret. Those values we have in game are complete BS.

T-80's design was heavily influenced from T-64s. Both of them were designed from Malishev (Kharkiv) factory in currently day Ukraine. While T-64 was more of a newly-designed vehicle that was built as some sort of a "let's try putting this into a tank for the first time and see how it turns out" type of a tank, while T-72 was a replacement for an aging T-62s. Sorry I know no one needs me here

I quit playing at about Tier 5ish, just had enough, game is extremely unrewarding and repair costs are insane, and knowing that the game actually gets worse as you progress isn't exactly something that keeps your playing, WT needs a complete overhaul.

@Local Toast Yeah, absolutely horrid "maps" for players to suffer on. What do we have here? Italy and Vietnam are the worst maps in the game, Alaska might actually be a bit better. Oh, they've also modified a few maps so as to enlarge them, but those are maps designed for WWII combat, not modern main battle tanks.

T80 is more of a winter type tank, russian army has 4k of those but around 1k is being used, modernized version T80B3M i think, its longest drive range 300km with full fuel tank, its very good for winter and snow and mostly cold temperatutes. It spends a lot of fuel because of its 1100+ horse powers engine(around 800 in T80 but 1.1k in T80B3M), can drive up to around 82km/h and is much better than M1A1 and M1A2 in most cases. They really did a good job with that tank.

Probably because the 2A5 armor in dev server was basically impenetrable. It’s fixed now, but still a very good tank, and I believe it’s got like a 70% or 80% win rate rn. More turret armor than chally 2, better gun, and more mobility. T-80U has poor survivability and it’s hull armor kinda depends on the kontakt 5 ERA, which goes away after one shot. Also T-80U reverse. T-80U is prolly second best after Leopard 2A5.

In the past couple of days of me playing m1a1. The t80u is a meme. I one shot it all the time without trying. Now the leo 2a5 on the other hand will bounce anything you throw at it and you have to very carefully aim for weak spots or youre dead

The 2A5 is even with the T80U I've one shot it through the upper plate and bounced rounds left and right from it even when it had the drop on me now I've also been 1 timed by Russian tanks due to poor timing driving by a street or moving to contact all in all I honestly say they are evenly matched it's more so tanker skill in my opinion

Thank you for saying that a tank doesn't do well , the player does , I can kill mbt's with a BT it would be the same if I had a t80u , m18 or any other fast tonk yes some tank are easier to play than others but no tank is trash , if you think it is , maybe you suck with it or maybe it's not at the right meta

Why do none of the War Thunder youtubers know how to use the range finder and then mouse wheel scroll for range? Step 1: press R. Step 2: wheel mouse to desired range. Step 3: fire and hit first try.

It's amusing to see the game portray vintage 1976 russkie tanks as the equal or superior of 90s western tanks like the Challenger 2. They were two decades behind the west when the T80 was made.

I switched to grinding the Italian tanks once I finished grinding every USSR tank up to (and including) 7.7, but once the RP changes arrive I will for sure restart the grind. That lineup looks scrumptious.

Wasn't one of your last video titles a sarcastic "Germany suffers"?... Germany does suffer. But not because they have great tanks (german tanks are strong). It suffers because (and I haven't seen just one RU-vidr who gets it) the matchmaking. In a 1vs1 between an Abrams and a Leopard 2A5 the Leopard has very good chances, but not if there are to many just rushing through them. Many people say "Somebody who says germany is bad is just to stupid to play it". I would rather say whoever said germany is OP is just to incompetent to play America or Russia. That is my opinion.

@@_wayward_494 I did watch it because it was about the Leopard and I'm a pure german tanker. I didn't made it clear but the first thing I wrote (about the title) was ment for fun. I found it quite funny to see this inconsisting titles. The second part all though was ment serious. But not to insult somebody heavily but just to state my opinion. I'm just tired to see all these RU-vidrs unable to have a clear opinion about Germany. But I'm serious, I do not want to insult somebody on porpuse.
