@@mrbones_7420 He just meant that this T-34 in particular has been taken good care of, so it still works to this day. You are right though, the T-34 didn't have much durability, and needed to change the engine and transmission for new ones as they worn out quickly.
T-55 is such a nice equipment. Good and reliable tank. There is a movie called ’The Beast’ I do recommend to watch although full of Hollywood bollocks but worthy watching. Best regards from Poland 🇵🇱. Nice collection 👍
Beautifull machines the t55 will continue to serve in combat for at least 20 more years and there is a few t34s still fighting in at least 3 battlefields the t55 is everywhere they r perfect easy to maintain upgrade and in quantity
Nope. Not even in War emergency storage. They simply did not use T-55 much. They very fast pushed them out and adapted T-62 that u dont see here. Atm modernized T-62 versions is oldest war emergency stored tank in Russia that i know of. Not so long ago Syrians bought/ were given some of those
Wow, it never really occured to me how thick the muzzle ring on T-54 is! (Not the fume extractor on 55, that ring of metal at the end of the 54's gun.)
This is a ballast, to compensate for the weight of the missing bore evacuator. This was necessary for work two-plane stabilizer arms (modernization of T-54 mod49 and mod51 to T-54B standard).
Love these longer ones! So many weird design changes, like that oddly skinny gun on the T-54. Dunno why I didn't see it earlier, but the T-34 looks insanely top heavy!
Externally the biggest difference is that the T-55 has the exhaust fan which is large and long compared to the T-54's counterweight which is short, both remaining at the tip of the barrel. Inside are the main and most important differences between both tanks.
The (on this tank orange) dome on the turret next to the loader's periscope (at 1:24) is a feature that only the T-54 has. It's a ventilator housing and not compatible with the NBC protection system, so it was removed on the T-55 (1:27).
Wonderful machines. I love to see and to hear them. They are sacred, cause they were built to defend the socialistic system. Hope we'll get a second chance to rebuilt a scialistic russia.
So if we built up a new socialistic country, for us the working class, it "could only lead to another Cold War or even a Third World War."??? In that case we have to do it!!! Otherwise we'll remain in slavery forever.
You're a moron. Socialism doesn't work. It only works for free-loaders because you have to share everything. I was born after the collapse of the Soviet Union, I'm Russian, and it was terrible. My parents hated socialism after the collapse.
Maybe your socialism does not work. But my one works. I was born in a capitalistic country before the big collapse of the Soviet Union. I still hate the capitalistic system. It just works for the upper class.
Oh yeah sure. Because you're a politician who had massive political leverage in a government. Or maybe you have several billion dollars just laying around so you can force your socialist ideals on some poor African country that has nothing else better going for them. You're still a moron, either way you look at it. Socialism is moronic.
