I sometimes imagine what things might have possibly been like if the Communists of Germany ultimately emerged into power (over Hitler, and his Nazi Party). How would events than unfold? I often think that (unlike with Hitler and the Nazis), Communist Germany would hold a permanent (and genuine) friendship with Stalin and the USSR over conquered Poland. Both nations (now empires) would share their mutual thoughts and feelings with each other. I wonder how all of that would've played out in the end? However, I think that in the end, the people of Germany ultimately needed a very strong sense of national Pride and Identity (for their loss in World War One, etc). Obviously (unlike genuine communism), Fascism (with its strong sense of deep, national identity) also provided this for the suffering masses of Germany of the time (not that Communism was probably also a close contender at the time).
We can still build a better tomorrow for the working class, I'm from Brazil and here it's obvious that the imperialism will never let us be free and prosperous as we could be. The soviet union was a facist regime for a long time. No matter how socialist it claimed to be. Socialism isnt very good in practice. Social democracy is what we kinda have to live with and i dont mind.

@@BorchikYes social democracy doesn't solve anything. It's just a way to exploit the 3rd world while giving small welfare bits to the population so they don't starve and turn to socialism. Imperialism is necessary for socialdemocracy. Also welfare doesn't resolve things like 1929 like stock crashes, monopolies and the accumulation of capital in the hands of fewer and fewer people. It's just preventing people from outright starving and is a COMPROMISE between workers and capitalists. Also if you think the USSR was fascist i suggest you to read CIA documents regarding Stalin, the USSR and so forth. They really say a lot of truth about the USSR
I think if the USSR had won the cold war we would be miserable under totalitarian rule, poor and getting poorer in a stagnant economy by the day. I do hope that a better more socialist world is possible but their ideology clearly wasn't the path to it.

Nazi Germany was nowhere NEAR Socialist. They systemetically privatised all of the industry, outlaw multiple left-wing parties, abolish trade unions in order to subordinate the working class, executing all types of Left-Wing German industralists. But so many Liberals claim that it is just because "ITs IN ThE nAmE" well, the Nazis in Germany, and Fascists in Italy purposefully appeared left-wing in order to appeal to the masses and decieve them. Germany even copied the Uniform design of the Soviet Union in order to look more "revolutionary" aswell.

@@Habakuk_ capitalism doesn't equal democraty. You can have capitalism and an oligarchy. But real capitalism and socialism are both bad. A real capitalism would be hell just like socialism is hell. Competition is an important part of our universe, but you can't survive when people don't help each other.
@@bobskanal That's not what I meant either. What I meant by capitalism was that there was healthy competition and not monopolies, for example. Musk and Bezos can buy politics, for example. pay little taxes or can avoid regulation.

The map is quite literally the Weimar Republic, and the flag is/was actually the official flag of the KPD. Although you might be thinking about East Germany, this song actually originated in 1929 (music was later composed in 1930) by (of course) the KPD.
