Right up my alley! Granted, my guitar and bass sounds are usually coming through processing via my pedalboard first but this is pretty much the vibe. And that P bass sounds great, especially where you’re attacking the string, gets that nice bloom with the low end playing in front of the pickups.
P basses are a magical mystical thing. I really dig how the compressor works on the mk2, you really hear a difference in adjusting the attack, sustain and ratio is relation to how much bass attack you want. Cheers!
I love recording my bass and guitar into my SP404 MK2 however I was wondering how I can record in pattern mode. Can I record direct or do I have to sample and then add it to pattern mode?
Sounds really nice! There’s nice headroom, no clipping. How are you recording this? Straight into the PC or into a Zoom recorder or something? Sounds good direct as well without the amp sim.
Every time I plug my bass it sounds so quiet it’s impossible to me to listen to the bass while other parts are playing, I add more volume on the bass or gain in the little knob of the sp404mk2 and I get all kinds of clippings, is there something I’m missing ?
Lol y bought a budget amp simp but I didn't know that there Roland does have sim to. I could economize some bucks but who knows... May be I just need to run both (never heard about passing a bass through 2 amps at the same time. Any suggestions? It's it actually a good idea?
Hey man! Thanks for the video! I'm a complete beginner. My question is: do I need any other type of hardware between my E-bass and the SP404 MK2 to play bass or record bass samples onto it?
Still always experimenting but often still come back to the JC-120 coz it retains that p bass tone but rounder, usually resample the compression / eq later once I hear how much it needs in the beat…
Hmmm…so I’ve got the front input switch set to Guitar n the gain turn up only a little, like 9 o’clock. I’m playing with my fingers, I imagine if I’m slapping it would be too much.
Cheers dude, this P Bass is so damn good, lucky to have found it. What I did a while ago was sample each note individually then run it thru the sp202, I keep that on my phone so where ever I am I got my bass sound. Will email you them.
