What a mission. Wow. Fire in the water, fire in the sky, fire in my veins. This is all I ask from Ace Combat. And boy has it delivered. ►Twitter: / tugaavenger
28:21 "Not only that, the radio communications during the mission suggest you are a traitor" "...Now, let me say that again, Get the MP." somewhere in a facility Bandog: *senses the disturbance* "My Solitary senses are tingling"
Also, based on the in game dialogue, this would also show how the Erusian "radicals" were starting to lose their grip in the war, giving Labarthe and the conservative party an opportunity to end the war through peaceful negotiations with Osea later on. That very piece of detail was unique.
27:05 the rustling of the audio there with no one talking aside from Wiseman... Makes me wonder if that was Trigger getting aggressive since he doesn't speak
Tenno Shenaniganizer Maybe, but I think it’s probably Count losing his sh!t and just went physical. Still, it’s cool if it was actually Trigger (after all, he’s “different”).
Gripen E with cruise missiles Taurus KEPD 350 and 6 air to air AIM-120 missiles proved to be excellent during this mission. Three questions remain: 1. Why the "Mimic" Squadron wanted to kill "Trigger" so much 2. What side does the "Mimic" squadron represent 3. Why Captain Torres targeted Oured's nuclear weapons attack and why he wanted to kill nearly eight million people to end the war on the Lighthouse. One thing is certain: I have a bad feeling about this.
I can only provide some info for Q.2. "Mimic" Squadron are suspected to be mercenaries from PMC, which may be related to Osean military, that's what I heard from the conversations in this mission
@@myourenhijiri5730 Only issue is that he goes back to his annoying self after the DLC missions end, so the writers must have accidentally worked in the post-Wiseman's Death Count instead of his whiny "hotshot" persona. I really wish that the change was more consistent, honestly. I love the DLC missions, and I wish that the rest of the game was written just as well as the DLC missions.
@@threeshrikes Tbh, even an asshole would have some care for his own team. Count for one, he may be an asshole but he's Wiseman's asshole...and Huxian's too.
Possible theory: The Van Dalsens were merely Guinea pigs for Clemens to use as a test against Trigger. He was assessing his ability before sending him in to go toe to toe against Mihaly. Sadly Elke and Otto were just as much a liabity as they were an asset. Perhaps if Mimic Squadron had followed the Brigadier General's orders to the letter, then maybe Strider and Cyclops Squadrons would've found themselves facing down not just Sol Squadron at Farbanti. Just imagine how hectic that would be, Mimic *and* Sol Squadrons ganging up on Trigger and Company then. 8 against 7 yes, but I'd have to go with quality over quantity here.
The voice lines suggests that Rage and Scream are mercenaries hired by Clemmens to get rid of Trigger. Clemmens sounds dissapointed when Sheppard is convinced that Tigger is needed at Farbanti. Clemmens also sounds relieved when Trigger shoots down Rage and Scream after they refuse to withdraw, when they refused they became a liability to Clemmens.
Somehow villains in ace combat 7 earn my respect in some aspects of their character. can't say the same for this Torres guy. props to bandi namco, they created an awesome game, with no bullshit like other gaming companies
Man our side is stupidly corrupt isn't? I know the guys are supposed to be fighting are the bad guys but seriously. The writing went to far on this one. You can't have a grey vs. Darker grey. It's not satisfying. Great game otherwise though.
With the Background Music in perfect sync with the cutscenes and the Warheads explosions, Ace Combat is now a Tokusatsu like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai!
This is in my top 5 favorite missions in the entire Ace Combat series. The music, amount of targets, dialogue, boss fight etc. It's like invincible fleet on bath salts.
"Fire in the water, fire in the sky, fire in my veins." So would you say this is a... City on Fire? :P Amazing performance as always there, Tuga! And I agree, this mission is just what we want from Ace Combat, and delivers splendidly! Also the music for the Mimic fight is just great!
Wow... just... WOW! PA is pulling all the heavy guns here in these DLC missions xD Hmmmm... the siblings got me very intrigued, from what i can see, they probabbly where very good Osean pilots, they did something bad, or something very bad happened to them, probabbly went to jail, but they got free but with the condition of working as some sort of "Black Ops" operatives for Osea, Why they tried to kill Three Strikes? probabbly it has to do something with Harling's assasination, theres more dialogue for Rage as well, saying that "their lives will change for the better" or something like that if they kill Three Strikes, but the most interesting, is the one he says went he is about get beaten "We tried to be heroes, We really tried!". Even their Su-47s are specially developed to use ECM and stealth missiles, if these guys shoot down someone, is very sure that the target wouldn't know what it hit it, Clemens was talking to them, and considering how hostile was againts Three Strikes, he just wanted to kill us using the siblings during the colmotion on these missions, but after the high rank officer Shepherd said that Three Strikes will become a value asset for Osean forces, Clemens was fuck up, and the siblings didn't obeyed him anyway at this point... poor bastards.
I agree with your ideas! Clemens might be a traitor who hired R&S to kill Trigger, but it was still clearly authorized by Shepard to kill Trigger by any means necessary, probably due to him being such a potential threat post war (singularity and all that). Shepard simply threw Clemens under the bus when he was exposed and that council apparently decided Trigger was worth the risk, Osean warmongers that opposed Harling in 5 are still at play here But that kind of intrigue is what I was hoping 7 would have more of in the base campaign, almost makes me think with these dlc missions that's what they originally intended, as I also think the spare squadron part of the game should have been the bulk, only to be revealed and Trigger pardoned toward the end like a reversal of Wardog to Razgriz
Wait a second. Wasn't the Thalassa with the N A I A D in ACX. It was part of the fleet that you had to defend while the N A I A D had to infiltrate. Small world isn't it. Edit: at 18:04
"THIS IS THE N A I A D. ALL ALLIED FORCES, MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE ENEMY OFF OUR BACKS" Best dialogue all game XD. Yeah, he says "This is the cruiser Thalassa. Understood. We'll make sure they know we're here. Pilots up above, show us your best." Strangereal theory => Erusea salvaged the Thalassa and sold it to Aurelia. The Aurelian Liberation War occured in September - December 2020.
Damn this mission was fun. First time i used the Falken with FAEBs. Great until all the ground targets were trashed. Then my bomb upgrades didn't help me. Second time I used the Raven. Started with TLS and then switched to UAVs.
Jan Arcangel But Hey didn’t AnchorHead have the Twin Towers inconspicuously in City on Fire But now they have changed the Layout and the Twins have been replaced :/ ?
Captain Torres may have been lucky enough to survive from attack by Mobius One 15 years ago. But Trigger and his colleagues will not let him stay alive this time!
I like to think in my head canon that Mobius became a flight instructor after the war, and he trained Trigger. I mean both have a lot of similarities. Both are aggressive solo pilots who just happen to have wingmates, both canonically fly raptors, both fought erusea and were involved in battles around Stonehenge, and Mobius shot down yellow squad (they were trained by Mihaly), and of course Mihaly and Sol were shot down by Trigger. So I like to think that Mobius trained Trigger and now Trigger is just finishing what Mobius started all those years ago
"I'd rather live in hell than in a world shaped by you. In fact, I'm going there now". The dialog written for Scream and Rage is hilariously embarrassing.
It's not ace combat without a little bit of cringe. But hey, at least thy're pulling no punches here - the twins and the captain are jsut flat out insane.
Same, but I'm so torn on what plane I prefer using here. Do I use the Falken with FAEBs with bomb upgrades or the Raven with laser upgrades which upgrades it's TLS, UAVs and Pulse Laser. Do I take an all rounder or a master of one?
Rafale with LACM > HCAA just wrecks this mission, I just tried it and it works incredibly well. I'll try Su-33 with LASM > EML next, with a few changes to my route in the beginning. Damn, there's so much replayability to this mission, I love it!
Finally they gave us an ace boss fight that's legitimately challenging without any plot armour! Seriously, stealth missiles force you to play a lot more defensively, always paying close attention to both enemies' position on radar. I absolutely loved this mission: SP1 was "just" very good, but this one is downright AWESOME! I surely hope this is the quality we can expect from all of AC8, whenever it will come.
I feel like the whole game has been a testbed for an Ace Combat game running on the latest technologies, now that they're more confident with their assets, the PA guys are definitely raising the bar with these DLC missions. The more I think about it, the more confident I am that this is the quality level they are imposing themselves for AC8.
My literal thought process when I played this and Longcaster said that: "Ugh, buddy...do you not remember how I solo'd the north fleet in less than 45 seconds before heading up to the marine platform and destroying the whole thing by flying INSIDE it?"
Haha. Yea mate longcasters AWACS is probably an F18 If he’s an A340 no wonder the platform collapsed the combined weight of longcaster and all his sandwiches along with that jet fuel would literally without even touching the platform crush it
To make up for the lack of a return line in the last mission, Aces tripled up in this one XD Absolutely demolished this mission with F-15E with SFFS and 6aam. Morgan with all weapons was pretty useful too.
When I also dodge around the UAVs, I observed that this mofo flies parallel with me, so I stayed still until I can shoot it down easy with missiles And then I was reminded that Alicorn is basically Hrimfaxi cousin and a distant relative to Scinfaxi, so I tried going high but its still followed closely SO I had the best idea of doing it like Stonehenge and hug near 10m on altitude, it worked well
