Can you find a distributor for the finished models. There are so many of us that would buy these, but don’t have a 3d printer… Or do it yourselves? … pretty please.
My therapist: "Dave without a ponytail and facial hair isn't real he can't hurt you." Jazza in a hobby shop with Dave without a ponytail and facial hair: "...."
I'm Ojibwe and grew up on the reservation listening to songs like Manidoo Mukwa, and I got into Warhammer last year and this is SICK. I appreciate the incorporation of the lore with actual culture!
You could make the giant ancient bear that you guys mentioned at the end some sort of prehistoric cave bear, or maybe something like the short faced bear. Really sell the ancient and massive vibe it would have?
I already have Tau, Sisters, and Deathwatch armies. I surely don't NEED to start printing another...but they're just so cool! I've already got ideas of painting them as an arctic-circle-based specialist force in white ACU pattern. Maybe make a unit of Eliminator proxies with a Space Bears version of a Phobos Librarian to lead them... Yeah...I think we'll be backing this one. So many great STLs to work with that a kit basher would be crazy NOT to pick it up.
Crazy how I remember seeing the first video and thought " huh they made their own army" but then following the channel and seeing the project grow was just great
Too bad these aren’t available to purchase the final printed versions of these as I don’t have a 3D printer capable of printing something with this amount of detail. Darn I was really hoping to back this and paint a mini.
There are reasonably priced 3d printing services online. I don't have a 3d printer, but I order stuff through craftcloud. It's probably not as cheap as if I had a printer myself, but hey it's way cheaper than Games Workshop plastic, and generally way nicer. And I can choose exactly what I want printed and in what quantities and at what scale, so if I order something and by my reckoning it's too big or small I can always resize.
Will you guys also do a transfer sheet? Would be cool, because then I could thematically tie my land raider and dreadnaughts I already have into the army.
I can bearly believe this project has come so far...really cool to see that army as it's own thing. :D I hope we get to see the MOTHER OF ALL BEARS. I don't paint miniatures, but I'll see about throwing a bit towards this regardless! Love that helmet with the feathers too. Really cool to see the Native American theme really gel here.
To be almost half way to your full stretch goal already is just a testament to the awesomeness of what you have created, your audiences trust in tabletoptime and I WANT THAT MOAB!!!!!! COME ON 50K
Congratulations to the Table top time team & especially poppa bear "Jazza" I'm honoured & humbled to be a backer with the Kickstarter & so pleased you've already surpassed you first goal in the matter of under a hour !! Well done all of you 🎉🎉
I absolutely agree on the detail part, for a lot of 3rd party minitures/stls they really seem to have the need to cover the model in bits and bobs, lining and insignias when theres really no need. And don't get me wrong GW models also have a lot of bits and bobs but generally it feels like theyre hanging off the model or are in places that make sense while usually the limbs and torso have some free space that lets the mini breathe.
I think there cool, but I think I like the kitbashed ones better, and I guess its because it fits in more with the universe, but I understand why it fits your creative liberties.
I've just recently started getting into Warhammer and found your old videos on this. What perfect timing that a week after I decide I want to build my first army this happens 😂
congrats on 2 years of Space Bear mauling and on consistently superb content, hope you all have a spectacular November on through to the rest of your lives cause with your brilliant content you truly deserve a lovely and stupendous life, thank you for all your hard work
Pardon my French…LET’S FUCKING GOOOOO!!! This is awesome!!! I love bears and Warhammer so combining the two is perfection. I love these designs. My jaw dropped at the sawed off shotguns.
Super happy to see the journey of the space bears and that I can support you guys! its given me PAWS for thought; sorry that was unBEARable; I'll get back to painting my minis in my CUBBY.
I think an awesome stretch goal to possibly add for the captains and your papa bear to have would be a stick for counting coup, it would just give it that much more badassery.
@TabletopTime I have an idea for Oosan Ursa's armoury! Oosan Ursa Armoury Armour of the Ancestors: an ornate suit of armour made with the design of the tribe he was born in the wastes of the snowy world of Okemos, he himself having a psychic bond with Arctus, the mother bear. Aloft the backpack of his armour is the Warp catcher, a Psychic Channel which helps him control and hone his psychic abilities. It is rumoured this armour was forged by the primarch Roboute Gulliman himself, but this is only speculation. The Claws of Judgement: these twin ornate lightning claws are designed on the traditional weapons of Oosan Ursa's tribe, they were given to him by Guilliman the moment he became Chapter Master of the Astra Primursa. These claws are designed so only Ursa himself can use them, a choice that was made due to the Primarch respecting the warrior and his patience, respectful and honourable personality.
I never thought I'd see the day that a couple of pictures I posted would make their way to the channel, let alone to a "hey, here's what some other people have done" section of a video
Polar bear variants!!!! Make them distinguished from the kodiak, but dam that MOAB I'm just picturing already!!! Grizzled, scarred, ancient. The MOABs name is spoken in hushed tones and reverance
