Nicely structured and detailed instruction video on your design. From chapters, a sprinkle of humor and explanation to why you have done certain things how you did them. Nicely Done. I think double stacking solar panels has been patched out recently ?. usually i double stack my solar panels so they touch each other, and that used to work well. however last time i tried i got 0 power from the solar panels on the back side. So you might want to double check if your double stacking works how you set it up now.
Yeah unfortunately i noticed this when i got to the programing part double stacking doesnt work anymore. i had planned on putting a note but it sliped my mind i will add a note to the video after work today. i haven't done it for a while as i use LWTS for tiered systems but wanted this to be something anyone could follow and use regardless of whether they have the ability to use mods or not.
Nice rig, but the result : a giant pot hole is not easy to use. I still don't understand why everyone is drilling verticaly. Suggestion : why not locate yourself on a lake, and drill HORIZONTALY against a mountain or a hill ? Instead of a rotating drill assy, use a horisontal swipe movment, moving a pile of drills. The result will be a nice square cave with a rounded end. Nice to protect you and a ship/rover for example.
Thanks for the suggestion, @ericseidel4940! That's an interesting idea. In the 'Let's Automate' series, we'll be building an inchworm rig that will weld the floor, ceiling, and walls as it goes. While the giant hole can be challenging to build in, it makes for a unique and interesting base. We'll do a tutorial on both the inchworm rig and the base once we're happy with them. Stay tuned to the 'Let's Automate' series to see the progress and have some input. I'll be taking a lot more ideas from the comments over there. 😊
