Adding on another commenter's idea.. can you put in a controlled cargo umbilical from base to the "Snowstorm". Link the ship to base cargo, have a script on the bridges to extend and retract it to link to the ship, and detach for liftoff. Then have a launch script to launch/land in the exact spot it is now. You have a battle bridge (forward) and a Flag Bridge (Topside) Definitely a flat double railgun turret on the topside. Just a flat set of blocks for 180 degree elevation fore to aft, and 360 degree rotation. Have the sides just high enough so guns at zero elevation are hidden inside. Next episode.... far-side defense battery (back of base where Hydrogen storage is), Umbilical, Asteroid to ground mine transport? Love it!
Very cool! I agree that the front design looks a lot better now, and the turret armor is wicked awesome! I also have two ideas for you, Andrew. 1- It would be satisfying to see you make a custom missile or rocket turret for the Snowstorm. Would love to see a new or different custom turret design. 2- Another idea would be to make a printer(similar to the decoy launcher you made in the 1 min, 10, 1 hour fighter build video) to print custom warheads with a bay door or launch tubes to deploy remote controlled warheads or something like that. That's a lot maybe, but would very entertaining to watch what you could come up with.
Perhaps the Reavers are intimidated by the new Rail Gun Turrets and have called a conference amongst themselves to plan out the next attack. Since the Reavers don't seem to be too bright, it may take them a while to agree on a plan of action. New/Redesigned bridges are looking great. With the various Bridge Consoles installed, screens showing individual ammo type reserves would be neat. Those poor neglected Solar Array Towers... they so desperately wish to contribute to the base's power system. I can't tell, is that a bit of power trickling down the line, or their tears? The Sandstorm is now the Snowstorm. To keep with the "storm" theme, if your custom turrets can't seem to hit anything, rename them as Stormtroopers.
Finally :) Did start watching your series a few days ago, catched up already - personally a bit borring by PAM setup, and checkups and correcting, etc. -> happy to see refitting of AMG Sandstorm :) Waiting for more! Hope you will improve its engine bay, add more internal turrets to prevent the hack ( ;) ) in the future and maybe some welders next to the critical components and engines? So it can auto-repair? With your automation skills and even controllers you could set the welders auto-on when detecting lock :)
I feel it necessary for the rail gun control room operators to protest about the bathroom being on the other side of the compound from their control station. In an emergency, they would have to run all the way over to the other turret whilst trying not to get shot. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
the new updated sandstorm will look awesome as ships get upgraded they always look different with new technology thats why they go mk 1 mk2 etc you really wantto see those rail guns fire lol great job but dont rush it then they dont look as good
The ship is looking very good but with the new redesign on the right side the left side looks a little out of place. I think you should consider making them symmetrical on the outside.
I would love to see them add a symmetry option to the projector. Have it take a ship and add in a projection of the symmetrical blocks like it does in creative
18:10 what about adding a symmetry mode for building using a projector block? like you place a block on one side and a projected block appears on the other?
You convinced me to buy the game. There was a deluxe edition for cheap on a site so i bought it. Now i have it, do you have any tips and tricks for me on the game, please? Also what adds the deluxe edition?
Welcome to Space Engineers! I don't remember off the top of my head what the deluxe edition adds but I think its a suit skin, an armor skin, and the soundtrack. Something like that. For the game, the best thing I can recommend is to either follow along with a survival playthrough or find someone to do a co-op playthrough with who knows the game. It can be complicated to learn at first!
