You're absolutely right, this film is junk food for people who like junk food. Of course Michelin Star critics and chefs are going to hate it, it's not for them. Leave us alone to clog up our arteries with last century pop culture references. We're happy.

My main issue is why wasn't this movie called Cyber Space Jam? It wouldn't improve the movie, but it would make more sense at least.

I might be stretching a lot, but I feel like they portrayed Bugs Bunny a lot better than in the first Space Jam. Something about him seemed different in this film. Like when Lebron first came to Tune World, Bugs seemed overjoyed to have another toon to do gags with since all the other toons left to other worlds not wanting to be who they were. Bugs seemed to have been alone for some time, and his mission was to bring back his family (which he did in the end but without sacrificing himself). I mean he even considered Lebron as family since he was the first toon he played with in a while. Heck Bugs seems to have more heart in this film than he usually does. I just wished they went a little more deep into Bugs' story. But again, I could be stretching so much for a Looney Tunes movie 😂

The part where Al G Rhythm says “King Kong ain’t got NOTHIN on me!” Was Hilarious! Especially when Kong himself was all like “ You JERK”

The thing about the whole movie cameo thing is that that's always been a thing in the almost 90 year history of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies. The OG shorts were basically music videos for the newest popular songs of the day, shorts like "Have You Got Any Castles?" and "Book Revue" that were all about dropping pop-culture references into books, and then there are countless name drops of Warner Brothers stars of the day of these classic shorts that SO many kids - and, let's face it, grown-ass adults at this point - only know from these classic Looney Tunes cartoons. This is a tradition that was passed on to Tiny Tunes, and to Animaniacs, and now to new Space Jam movies. Probably the only problem I see with how they were handled in the movie is that they're so blatent and couldn't entire be appreciated for subtle jabs they've generally been in the past. That said, there's going to be a whole group of young kids coming up now whose first exposure to Mad Max will be because of Wile E. and the Roadrunner. To quote an inappropriate property to the film, this is the way.

My favorite Wizard of Oz line has got to be "There's no place like Space Jam a New Legacy. There's no place like Space Jam a New Legacy."

I just hope we don’t have to wait another 25 years for Space Jam 3… we can’t wait that long for another masterpiece 🥺😭😭😭🏀🐰

Andre is one of VERY few people on the Internet right now who has something nice to say about this film. Awesome! This was a HUGE guilty pleasure of mine too. Glad to know not everyone took it too seriously. Even the original Space Jam is divisive and has a weird reputation with people making it a cult classic. This sequel was a harmless piece of junk food in the end.

I agree with you man. I would love to see this guys going to all this world. It reminds me of the trailers for the Lilo and Stitch movie. Where Stitch goes to different Disney movies. Or Kingdom Hearts basically xD

To the movie's credit though, I have to admit I do think it makes more sense for the Looney Tunes to exist in a cyber world rather than the center of the earth.

In general I liked the movie. except for the basketball portion of it... the rules were so weird and calvinball like that I never really cared about any of it. and I think that's an issue, it never felt like there were stakes because they could just do one cool trick and get a billion points

Big chungus was taken from an old Looney Tunes cartoon. The movie referenced the cartoon. It was for the meme but it wasn't like Sanic in Sonic. Also, it wasn't like they said they were in HBOmax. Every Looney Tunes movie has made references to WBs properties. The original Space Jam spined off from an advertisement. What was anyone expecting?

You are right, I just finished watching it and I still like the first one better just cause I grew up with it.. and this one it didn’t suck but it’s not great either and at the end I did enjoy it somehow.. it is too long for sure, but if you go in with your brain turned off it’s fine for what it is haha. Watching Andre get excited was more fun than watching the movie for me. I love ppl's joy. I did love ALL the 2D animation scenes. Something about them in 3D was creepy to me, especially the mouths and fur. At first i thought the rap battle was referencing our weird gansta Tunes childhood clothes (i still have shirts in my closet) and got interested, but the outfits weren't 90's, and then they naturally did the "OOHHHHH" roast-reaction meme. So either they meshed the references, or it wasn't for the 90's after all. But I'm too old to know what's cool anymore, so maybe that's it.

I don't get the hate for this movie. Not to mention all those over-the-top clickbait reviews. Ah, it seems I do get it. Clickbait, and because it beat Black Widow MASSIVELY and that pissed off a lot of those "we're #1" douchebags. You know who I'm talking about. People reviewing this movie like they were expecting this to be the next Oscar for best picture.. It's a Looney Tunes movie, for F's sake. Expect a Looney Tunes movie and you will not be dissapointed. When will people learn to never trust a hype? Love or hate hype. Learn to make your own opinion.

I never made it though the original Space Jam, but when I saw that my favorite Nerd was reviewing A New Legacy, I HAD to watch his video! After watching this, I may even watch the movie since Andre got so excited about it.

Hate the commercialism... Hate the reference comedy... but... I can understand your point that it's neat to see the things you know from other things on screen, like yeah it's cool. My issue with the that the references are vapid. They are just "haha I know that thing" and don't do much interesting as a joke. They acknowledged its existence and that's it.

Just one question about the toons: WHERE WAS PEPPE LE PEAU?! YOU CANT HAVE ALL THE TOONS WITHOUT THIS SKUNK!! This is an outrage🤦‍♀️

The lesson this movie is trying to say is “You can’t be as good as LeBron James, so be yourself”.

When Bugs and LeBron met up to gather up the rest of the Tunes, it instantly reminded me of the 2011 Muppets movie. The leader of the group (Bugs/Kermit) is the only one left, now he and an outsider (Walter/LeBron) have to round up the old squad through a montage to do something they did decades ago (basketball/variety show) to save their old home (Tune World/Muppet Theater). Not complaining ago. This movie was dope. I don’t care what anyone says. 🤣

All I have to say is: *Let's do this again in thirty years, but even more over the top.*

Seeing them put so much focus on a wholesome "be yourself" moral makes the original seem so much funnier in hindsight. Michael Jordan didn't learn a moral. He learned he was too good at basketball to retire so soon.

The nun in the film wasn't from the conjuring but instead it was one of the nuns from Ken Russell's The Devils. One of the most controversial films of all time that WB refuses to release on home media in North America. Trying to forget it even exists this was the first time they actually acknowledged the film.

So, if this movie is a canon sequel to Space Jam, that pretty much means Lola broke up with Bugs after the last movie.

You forgot to mention that the looney tunes did a rap on the first space jam soundtrack. Also the reference for scoring points in the first half was from the games NBA jams and NBA streets.

Oh and before forget. Awesome shirt. Okay an Invincible ad comes on after. Funny knowing Mark visits DC during a fight with a guy that makes portals to other worlds.

Andre, thank you for unabashedly enjoying things just cuz theyre joyful and kinda cheesy, which I feel like is something we need more in Hollywood, just earnest enjoyment of things. (Although I personally am still kinda salty that The Lost Boys didn't get a cameo when other horror icons were there in the background, but that's just me 🤣)

They could have at least named AL G Rhythm AL Gore Rhythm, and then made a joke that he invented the internet. It would be outdated, so it would be perfect for this movie.

Ah, I had a lot of fun with this. I will say that while Lebron is a better actor than MJ, the dude’s screams were weaksauce, like when he was in the Tune World and falling off cliffs, etc. Also got so giddy seeing Space Ghost and the Warner siblings in the crowd. Some may find it cynical, but I was loving it.

I like how the iron giant has been in 2 movies but they are like cameos.
