Fun fact: the emperor can easily kill himself and come back to life but doing so would hurt humanity so much that we might get extention so until humans find way to travel and teleport easily he has to wait but if this happens the emperor is back baby and the inquisition are fucked

He is pissed even on the throne if you watch "If the emperor has text to speech" series

Pretty sure there's a theory to actually keep the Emperor comatose forever, not in any hurry to actually revive him if it's at all possible, unless Chaos is right at the door again.

At the time only Chapter Masters should know of the existence of Grey Knights to counter such powerful Daemons. Logan Grimnar (the chapter master of the wolves) sent a messenger to summon the knights, first "error." only Logan was supposed to know and was supposed to go personally, but he was busy fighting a war. Second, with the existence of Chaos, a fallen primarch and the Grey Knights being sort of seen by Imperial Guard, the Inquisition was going to purge the entire planet, to make sure not a rumour survived. Thats when the wolves took it personally. They fought side by side with this warriors, they won't let them be killed for a problem that may never manifest is they remain loyal. The months of shame followed, Space Wolves shielding the Imperial Guard regiments they helped flee with their very bodies, never firing back upon the Inquistion or Grey Knights. Eventually the Inquisition went too far and the wolves fought back. Logan Grimnar was so enraged by this point he did the impossible, sprinted in terminator armour, a feat no other marine has performed. It ended when Bjorn the Fell handed was summoned and awoken, the Inquistion threatening Fenris itself. But you do not challenge Bjorn's loyalty and dedication to the Emperor. Not even the Inquisition, even the Grey Knights bowed in respect to this legendary figure. In the end Bjorn told everybody to stop being idiots and end the fighting, and that was that. There is more to this story, a very interesting one. The Space wolves, the barbaric loyal sons of the emperor, acted with more honour and intergrity then practically every other chapter in that moment. The Grey Knights were horrendously misued, they are daemon fighters, nothing more. And for the first true time the Inquistion was humbled, and reminded, the marines technically answer only to the Emperor and their Primarch, and in their absence, the High Lords of Terra, nobody else. Sad reality is most marines dont have the power of influence to reject the Inquistion. The wolves being one of the originals were far to much for even the Inquisition to face. But it wasn't just a war, it was how the wolves acted, not fighting back till the very end that ruined the Inquisitions reputation. I recommend looking up the details yourself.

I highly recommend you check out Lamenter lore. Or check out the war for badab by Arch. There's actually a lot of chapters that care a lot for humans. Yes salamanders are definitely a caring legion, but the space wolves actually fought against the inquisition to protect men and women who fought against chaos taint. There's a lot of nuance with the chapters and legions
