Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

I stopped an NT crusade by dropping down the mining ore drop off and opening a wall, killing the guild they wanted to invade. Always have a void suit, oxygen canister and crowbar. You're 1 wall away from death at all times.

CEV is a hell of a game. Lots of depth. Another good one is running off ICS Nerva. You have a little space mini game trying to fly toward an asteroids to land on (flying through asteroids and carp!) and can use heavy equipment and everything. Though CEV has that nice guild RP so you can have a bit more infighting. But you got to love the bluespace drive spin up in ICS haha

Ey as Jake hentz (the merchant) I really feel like I should explain that the eris captain can jump the ship while the mining shuttle is away. Essentially stranding you and the shuttle. And no the merchant has no way to recall the shuttle These rounds can last up to three hours or more and this happened to me the last two rounds early on. It sucked as everyone was runnining out of material

With regards to the talk about Russian players around ~33:00: Honestly, that's one of the things that the internet has made possible that I find to honestly be quite heartwarming. Forget trying to establish 'pen pals,' just try casual gaming with online friends from around the world. Gives people a really 'organic' feel for folks around the world, much better than could be done by any touchy-feely TV show or NGO project.

Those _are_ some nice sprites, and a great atmosphere. I think the lack of floating chat text would kill it for me , since it's so hard to communicate (and notice others talking to you) without that.

44:17 - you were, in fact, yelling in a space suit. And the guy didn't hear you. When out in space, you can only hear one another if you're on an adjacent tile (dunno how... you're hugging and talking through suit vibration?). Otherwise you gotta use a radio.

Great is the enjoyment had by me, watching a relaxing mining run. Has the BPL ever tried to play Natural Selection before? I think you all would get a kick out of that game. It's a pretty old game, based on the half-life engine. Or Natural Selection 2.

Outlander. Yeah that movie stuck in my head as a kid. Thought it was pretty unique to use a space suit as a prison cell in a zero atmosphere room. Also thought it was weird to be in a futuristic space station with a hunting shotgun. I get it, you'd want low velocity weapons to not punch a hole in the station, but I figure a tactical SBS would make more sense.
