Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

The reason the voice activation didn't work was that you were put in pain-crit, which makes your voice stammer and stutter, which messed up your ability to say the line correctly.

@@artur_la no, he didn't. The bold black text is not the activation phrase, but system directions to the player. Read right before the bold black text in the quotes: "I love my job",

"there's no competent security officers in ss13" is, sadly, still mostly true. the fact that i'm actually _impressed_ when i see the detective bother just to review my PDA messages or check the file cabinet in cargo and then brig me for inevitable cargo shenanigans instead of just murdering me is kind of sad.

Murderboning isn't a question of why, but how. If you just gib somebody it is clean, efficient, fast and boring. Though if you come up with a gimmick that makes it unclear as to who to blame, resulting in a slow, chaotic death...now that is a good start.

Just started SS13 yesterday as your videos make it look like it's worth learning. So far I can start the SM safely on one map anyways, and can wire/construct/deconstruct and hack doors for emergency access but all very slowly. Next is EVA/atmosphere/gravity/solars/remote signaling/much more... gonna take so very long to master. Thanks for the entertaining videos.

I asked him on Discord while I was waiting to see if I would be let into the Black Pants Legion, if I could name my head of "resource acquisitions and trade" for my private trade company in "Space D&D" after Randolf, and he said yes. Granted, I'm a player, not the GM of that game. So yeah, like the reply above, I'd recommend contacting him a different way.

It's actually very easy go to the wiki read up on the basics . I would recommend you first play as a miner its kinda easy and it's fun you don't have to deal that much with what's going on on the station .

Hi from Montana, Tex. I have brought you information you may find, interesting. If you were not aware, there is mod for rimworld called 'deep rim'. If I understand correctly, it should allow you to create sub-levels. That should allow you to dwarf fortress, to your hearts content.

few days ago i started playing ss13, its really fun (even if i am not robust at all). The only thing that grinds my gears is god damn powergaming (if i cannot handle someone its ok, but when both whole station and blob could not handle a SINGLE CLOWN [bluespace clown - horror incarnate] then something is wrong [ deadchat was full of very colorfull names for a very unfun clown][also blob fu...ed it up]).

@@theblackpantslegion i agree, ss13 can be fun without fighting anyone. Doing powergaming in it is just dumb. Also if i play as cargo and i will see someone trying to powergame i will use the most feared mechanic in ss13 - bureaucracy. More triple stamped permissions from all heads damn it.
