I once played a game where me and my co-chef started cooking corpses from the morgue since we ran out of supplies (as one does). But then some dude broke in, accused us of murder, and my co-chef stabbed him to death. Before feeding him to the rest of the station. We murdered like 3 more people before the round ended. Worst part is we weren't even antags (at least I think, my co-chef dissapeared towards the end)

God I remember when Goon added liquid physics, people immediately emptied the pool with a bucket... enough water to flood the station. Pet project of mine one day was to try and distill every single discount burrito on the station and fill the pool with their juice, but I only managed to get it anklehigh in the sauna, very sad.

The others already play the game, I think they just made it a rule to not talk with each other outside of the game and to not tell anyone who they are in-game, so they can share their stories post-game.

Admins will ban you in most servers if they see that you meta-comm. No free pass for tubers, in fact I'd say they were stricter.

Paradise entraps people by having the lure of unlockable roles to keep them playing, even if it's a bad server.

I love the SS13 vids but would it be possible to put the end cards after the content is done? feels like I'm missing the punchline when I can't see whats happening

Yeah have an outro so the end cards don't roll over the actual content, and maybe include the end of round report (so that we can actually see if it was vampires or wizard round or whatever).

@@magicsucks69 Hm, I might've spoken too soon. I use YT Vanced on my phone, so the option may not be there on the default app; I haven't used that one for a while so I don't remember if you could disable endcards there. Either way, dig around in the Config, look at all the options.

Ever since watching Seths video of this game all that time ago, I’ve been craving to once again live vicariously through some poor soul. This is scratching that itch. I’m glad I don’t have to sacrifice my soul and sanity playing this game, so others may find joy in watching the steady ascension into manic psychosis and the sudden descent into catatonic madness.

Learn, the learning curve can be steep depending on your job preference. But for the sake of your shift mates, read up so you won’t be a burden. You’ll get it eventually

It’s not a game you are going to learn in an hour. It could take an entire week to effectively play a more advanced job. Not to mention the basic controls themself will take awhile to get used to. There is so many hot keys and buttons you will wanna get down to muscle memory before you can really play anything correctly. Just look up SS13 Wikipedia pages for more help.

Find you a server full of patient folks willing to help you out. Or even just an empty server to practice on. Once you figure out the controls, it gets a lot easier. And it's worth it.

It's a great server, too! I was always nervous about getting into SS13 because I heard the playerbase was pretty unwelcoming, but Tomato's crew have been pretty dang patient with newbies.

Pro-tip: the noobs can't deal with internals, so gas them! Put a little BZ in the hallways, or floor over the toxins vent chamber and let the 54K mix get released throughout the station through sabotaged walls

It happens on servers my man, sadly of course . Most of the time its that the server is hosted too far away like playing from America in an european server and the other way around.
