Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

I remember being a traitor as chemist, and being really confident I could just poison the station to death with whatever I made, but all I did was give half the station mild brain damage. Half the radio comms were stuttering.

Can't thank you enough for introducing me to this game via these videos. About a week in now and I've found my fun as a janitor. I haven't laughed this hard in ages, especially when it results in my remains being plastered on the walls. It all makes for some amazing stories that I won't soon forget.

Traitor is about adding an extra hint of chaos beyond the normal "hehe mix up thermite for shits and giggles" or "hehe inject people with acid," traitor is about going the extra mile on destruction. Build canister bombs, expend the healomatics and put radium in the medicine, flamethrower the botany room, seperate the solar panels,and so many other chaotic murderous acts.

I don't know about any "best of" playlist wizardry, I went straight from Dr. Christmas to finding this playlist right here, and I am up to....49 of 836. You fellows sure are busy! I think this playlist should provide literal years of stuff to listen to at work. Probably until after I am retired.

fun story about how SS13 admins are dumb: I was playing as postal dude in goonstation classic 2, and I was PMed by an admin saying “quit that edgy crap” I responded with “ok” and all I was doing was forcing people to sign my petition and using health pipe jokes, and other voice lines, no terrorism, slight drug stuff but they have drugs themself in this game, and calling a lizard guy a lizard freak, all that which was sort of very little, just to be told I’m edgy, after my response I left because I called my character postal dude, no point in being postal dude if your not postal dude, didn’t know people are still offended by postal 2.

Looking at the wall and space textures on Goon, these clips are fairly outdated. When did you record them? Seeing some of the faces around the station that aren't currently present is always nice, though.

"Inspired" is an interesting way of "Ripped off from". Among us totally ripped off ss13, town of salem, and a dozen other games. Flavor of the month stuff. SS13 has been around forever.

@@theblackpantslegion Well I did know SS13 has been around for a really, really long time. You kept mentioning it, so I checked it out and was surprised at how long its been around. That was a while back rhough. This was the first time I sat down and watched gameplay though. Also to say it's either a full on rip off, or more charitably inspired, would assume the Among Us devs were aware of this game at all. Which is possible. Also to be totally fair, basically every game today rips off mechanics, if not its entire concept, from an older game. That's just how its been for decades. Especially when an indie game does something revolutionary and bigger publishers demand their studios make a AAA clone of it.

@@theblackpantslegion Town of Salem is literally just Werewolf/Mafia with a web interface. You can't "rip off" a repackaging of a party game that was based on a soviet psychological experiment. It's like saying you can "rip off" the concept of a carbonated beverage. And Among Us only really took the theme and the idea of innocent players having to do tasks from SS13.
