Man, I loved this movie when I was younger. Then, when I got a bit older (and discovered weed) I rediscovered it. Now, I’ve tried to show it to my kids. My oldest daughter said it was lame and old - the exact quote included “... so old it should be in black and white.” On the other hand, my youngest daughter loves it; she thinks it’s hilarious and like the “Jack Nicholson” alien. Well... I know who’s not gonna be in the Will.

I love Spaced Invaders I pull out my copy and watch it regularly. The special effects are passable and have stood the test of time a hell of a lot better than some big budget flicks of the time. The movie never trys to be more than it is and you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

I remember my older brother taking me to see this in the theater, and I thought it was pretty funny. Even my brother was laughing at some of it. It actually holds up pretty well and shows what practical effects can accomplish, even if they're simple.

I love this movie. One of my good friends who sadly passed away about three years ago had a halloween ritual where he and his family would watch this every time the holiday rolled around without fail. I tagged along and watched this with them for three or four years. I have some great, but bittersweet memories of watching this with my friend and his family before he died. I'll have to go back and watch it again some time.

5:43 - I've watched this underrated movie more than I should have throughout my life and can positively state that the towns people are less angry at the fact that there's no way out of Big Bean (beyond normal roadways) and more at the fact that their new highway off-ramp has been destroyed before its time, seeking mob vengeance against The Martians simply out of spite. A good joke in my opinion.

I have a ton of love for this movie. I feel like when it is mentioned it gets dismissed out of hand but it's so much better than any of the ET knockoffs of the time. I recently rewatched it after not seeing it since I was a kid, and besides being really nineties it holds up. So many great moments, like Klembecker passing out cigarettes to trick or treaters, the Martians blowing up a corn silo thinking it's a missile silo, Vern as a weak nerd turned badass Zorro, Captain Bipto stuck in the car grill, the carnivorous duck. Gotta see if I can make people watch this on Halloween.

It all slowly came back to me. I feel transported. Thanks for the reminder. Nostalgia was what got me here all those years ago. The fact that you loved Freaked when I asked about it didn't surprise me, but felt awesome. Only my family members know it, cause my dad showed it to me when I was a kid. Even though i have not seen this flick, like so many others on this list, I absolutely love your series! I started watching exploitation films and schlock B grade movies back in the early 90's thanks to an old friend who had like 400 movies on VHS, and I was hooked. Many of them that I have seen from that massive VHS collection, you have either explored or done a good bad flicks about. I introduced my wife to your channel and she learned a lot about my past ( and present ) " goodbad " guilty pleasure film adoration. I don't know. I suppose this is just very nostalgic for me and in the meantime, she gets an education in something she has never known about. I love this movie. I hate saying it because, yes, it’s not a great movie, but it did inspire me. I was about sixteen when I saw it, out of the marketed age range, but I was bored. The character of Verndroid really resonated with me and I wanted to see more of him or characters like him. So I created my own called Captain Bugg and drew comics to entertain myself at first but then other kids in my class wanted to read them as well. I made life long friends because of that and it all started with Spaced Invaders.

I remember this popping up frequently on cable years ago (along with the invasion movie with Paul LeMat and Nancy Allen). After seeing the beginning of this, as well as Killer Klowns from Outer Space, I thought all Royal Dano played was crazy old farmers who encountered aliens. It wasn't until I saw Johnny Guitar, Man of the West and Electra Glide in Blue that I began to appreciate him as an actor. By the way, how many times did you have to watch this movie to pick up on the deputy's sunburn being an homage to Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
