"Jackson Angel don't be that guy who looks for any explanation and acknowledge spaceghostpurrp" Dont credit the artists who actually birthed this style and genre in history, but rather give credit to the first person of notoriety who copied? Do you hear yourself? You are discrediting Rocky for a style *you believe* purp created and simultaneously asking me not to discredit Purp for doing the same to the originators. I hate new heads. *Niether* of them created this style, homage is up for grabs by any artists. Foh.
Jackson Angel but thing is spaceghostpurrp gave props to 36mafia and ugk and no limit but no one wants to give spaceghost credit for the impact and lofi genius and one of the biggest rap groups in recent rap history.
"but no one wants to give spaceghost credit for the impact and lofi genius and one of *the biggest rap groups* in recent rap history." Lmao stop it, I like Purp but yall hype him up so much because his music doesnt speak for itself. Asap *always* shouted out the originators and introduced Purp at damn near every show as well as having the man all in the videos before they fell out. You and every other person hyping this beef dont even know why they are beefing...or him rather. Out here fighting over sounds and clothes niether of them created and niggas out here real life dying the streets foh.
@@newyorka7 what I'm trying to say is, the rappers who came out of the late 2000s underground, and gained some popularity in the early 2010's, weren't as active on social media, like the mid 2010s artists were...u gid im sayn?
tbh his sound laid the ground for huge artists and the joint he did for whiz was poppy but this isnt exactly superstar music. when even x git big he became much more digestable
Damn it has been about 3 years and I still love this dude, his shit is still stupid incredible, idc about the stupid beef, that shit the past, can't deny that purpp is one of the best out here
He made a lot of bad decisions. Let things get to him. The industry may have played a role in his downfall but he’s responsible for his own actions at the end of the day. Homie could have been huuuge in the underground if just put all the beef and all the bullshit with the mob behind him and kept it pushing. I honestly feel bad for him. Broke, irrelevant, delusional, and fading from the public lexicon.
No disrespect to homie intended. Bro has made some amazing music and essentially laid the framework of the underground and has worked with some of the biggest rappers to date. He really is a legend.
@Etheral One He mentioned countless times that he doesn't want to get big and if he wanted to he would have done so already. I guess he just got fed up with the industry and I don't blame him for that
he doesn't deserve recognition. he's a wannabe clout chaser now but can't achieve it. all he does is diss those who used to fw him just because they became big
Legendary shit right here. Don’t know how, but I managed to cop a brand new vinyl copy of Mysterious Phonk in a record store in london back in 2012. Still one of the most unique and stylistic hip hop albums I’ve heard to date. raider prayer and No evidence we’re my shits. More power to you SGP, keep bringing the heat and styling on them till the end
YES SIRRRRR. I'm jealous you got a vinyl of Mysterious Phonk.... I legit had so many of these dudes mixtapes. He combined Memphis horrorcore AND some of the east coast Florida scene and made it his own. SGP is hands down one of my favorite producers as someone who made beats. This shit is glorious. Just came back to this randomly when I started getting back into making beats. I quit round 2016-17 but, this was one of my favorite influences/things to listen to especially round 2012-2014
@@mrmatches0619 that was a great time for music in general. I feel like back then there was more versatility to music with a lot of rock and electronic artists able to make some noise. Artists were a lot more organic with a stronger sense of identity back then. But yeah, SGP’s a fucking legend.
Yeah I know SPG went crazy twitter tirade but I have respect for the nigga for putting out A$AP Rocky and Denzel Curry plus if I'm not mistaken I heard Denzel and SPG are working together again
Pretty FLVCKO I did but I’m im tired of SGP bipolar episodes. He just dissed Rocky and is teaming up with his “enemy” on some let’s be friends because we both hate the same nigga type shit. He’s a lost cause.
@@nathanyelkrissovich7482 he don't need to be 'close', he just is. Even X who hated him for beefing with Denzel and other his 'kids' was inspired by Purrp.
Downward _ Spiraling well like them or not they birthed a lot of the rappers now. Especially lil b and chief keef. Using heavy bass beats, the slurred delivery, off the wall lyrics, making 2 minute songs, making tighter clothes and messy dreads the new uniform for a rapper. Riff raff and Soulja boy created the marketing blueprint for almost every internet rapper. The thing is, big influence and change doesn’t often come from the mainstream, because the nature of the mainstream is not experimental. These guys were thought of as on the fringe rap in general until the last 3 years or so. The next era of rap in the next few years will be something new we probably don’t know about yet.
it's actually kinda sad how big this guy could have been considering his at the time original sound and heavy influences throughout the scene. Wasted talent.
All yall talking shit when if it weren't for this guy right here you likely would not know xavier wulf chris travis Uglymane dj smokey denzel curry simmie asap thoxandbandfauni eddy baker rubenslikk mike dece fat nick pouya rob banks black kray smokepurrp chxpo and five finger posse
I'm mostly into old school 90's gangsta shii but this is pretty good compared to the other rappers of these days the others of these days in my opinion suck
Blanco seems like you don’t know much 90’s artist there’s several artist that made music like this in the 90’s 😂 spice 1, 3 6 mafia, brotha lynch, necro, etc
