If you’re alright I can explain what the radar is picking up when random dots appear that seem to move very little, so only look below if you want to be spoiled! (Though you’ll likely never figure it out without looking it up) Those are the living trees. They have the tendency to just decide to move, albeit very slowly. They don’t do this if being observed (Except for cameras). They are otherwise harmless and it is likely that most, if not all, of the pine trees are in fact living trees.

Tip, sometimes when you can't find an entity on the radar that clearly has a dot, look for the trees, some of them are not as they seem, and if you see a tree on a pathway, that's not a tree

As for general game recommendations, two I feel like your approach to things might mesh well with are Heat Signature - the second entry in the Defenestration Trilogy, this is a topdown, permadeath, mission-based breaking and entry stealth/combat/puzzle solving game where you get paid to hijack spaceships, where throwing people out the airlock is always the best option, and where the passage of time is really more of a suggestion. Morphite - I'd be shocked if you've heard of this one, despite it being on basically every platform. It's a "small" game from Crescent Moon Studios, and is best described as lo-fi No Man's Sky. You play as Myrah Kale, a freelance taxonomist/bounty hunter or something, exploring infinite randomly generated planets, scanning and categorizing plant and animal life, and trying to save your grandfather's space station along with your sassy robot cat companion. It's got a surprisingly good story, looks great, is fully voice acted, has a fantastic sense of scope in terms of how big NOT to make the randomly generated planets, keeps you busy and entertained collecting a wide array of tools and weapons, has probably 40 hours of gameplay in it, and takes the cake for being my favourite game of all time. If you've ever been looking for a game where you feel like you can actually _explore_ in that same way that you can in Minecraft, actually find something for yourself that's exciting but not handcrafted, in a chiller setting without all the pressures of so many other games... a game where you can rush the story if you want, or just wander around and relax and enjoy the scenery, _your_ scenery - this _is_ that game.

You could try playing a Spaceship building and combat game called Cosmoteer you design spaceships on a grid and go around galaxies doing various quests and increasing your fame (and thus the size of your crew) slowly upgrading or building new ships for your fleet to be larger and more efficient. idk, that's just a suggestion though

It seems like it would match your playstyle and would be something you enjoy. Its a more chill story game about discovery in space, so its best not to look up stuff about the game beforehand
