Yep, Spader can do it all-- funny, dramatic, scary, sexy, creepy, dorky; (from nerdy Daniel Jackson in Stargate to *terrifying* Ultron in the second Avengers, to mixes of ANYWHERE inbetween, and all of it with a *remarkable* amount of charisma; this man could play a *tree*, and make it interesting).
James Spader is it laid back confident actor. I don't believe there's a role he could not play. With such wit and genius. I'm glad to live in the same time as he is.
I'm just watching this for the first time and I agree with all the comments below. He is a phenomenal actor - great in every role he undertakes and and seems to be a genuine nice guy. He was so handsome when he was young and not so bad now either. Love him.
My all time favorite actor. He does Alan Shore in The Practice better than anytghin i've ever seen.. And my god he's even a brilliant person as himself.
WOW, what a star studded event. This guy beat out James Gandolfini from the "Sopranos", Martin Sheen from the "West Wing" and Kiefer Sutherland from "24" all on a head to head match up. That's like beating Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Elton John for artist of the year.
If you look really closely at Gandolfini's picture at 1:04, the guy behind him is about to touch his shoulder or something but then retracts it when Sinise says "Spader".
William Shatner was not a regular on The Practice. I don't know if it was shown in the UK. James Spader was only in season 8 ( series 8) the last season, then his character spun off to Boston Legal where Shatner was a regular
@Hyoolin I didn't know him - but after watching the latest "The Office" episode, where he has a short appearance as a manager.... co-sign. I still can't believe HOW good the job interview scene with him was. He killed it. I had goosebumps as soon as he started talking.
Wow that’s incorrect by 1000% percent. If you actually watched TV you’d see it’s always been politically motivated. The TV censors were so awful it’s ridiculous that Kiefer Sutherland got an Emmy for LITERALLY TORTURING PEOPLE…which was an exact replica of the political scene right then. Please hush.
Hm, I think the season one, is more about him/the series hatching.. In season 2nd onwards, he REALLY starts to shine. So does other characters. :) Just take the speach he gives infront of the supreme court. He does loads like this. I've watched all episodes from 1-5. And my impression is not that he is just a pussy.. And i've never been no good boy so I wud be the first to call him a pussy. :p I think he just realizes, that he won't be able to make any difference, if his unemployeed.
Are you freaking kidding? Saying James Gandolfini is a nobody is sooo mature. James Gandolfini is amazing. I love James Spader as well, but he's not even close to Gandolfini.
