Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is a traditional Italian pasta dish from Naples. It literally means, spaghetti prepared in aglio (garlic) and olio (oil). The dish is made by sauteing sliced garlic in olive oil. It is at times seasoned with dried red chilli flakes. Ease of cooking and few ingredients make it a very popular pasta recipe in Italy.
Ingredients:
9 cloves of garlic, sliced
10 cherry tomatoes, 5 - split into two and 5 whole (optional)
2 - 3 tablespoon Extra Virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano powder
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
50g of dried spaghetti
Water for boiling
5-7 basil leaves (optional)
Salt
