Very interesting Stu, I left Spain last August, I miss the country, however, as a pensioner on a fixed income, I couldn’t afford to stay. Your videos keep my memories alive, thank you 😊

Where I live in Aus, we have a govt app where you can take a photo of graffiti, upload it to the app and it makes a database of the ‘artist’. Then, when offenders are caught there is a collection of what has been vandalised. The penalty (if they don’t get prison time) is hefty fines and community service of cleaning off graffiti. Does Spain have such a system too? If not, it could be a good idea.

Hey Stu, we also live in a tourist area in the panhandle of Florida called The Emerald coast!! And every year, without fail, there is a casualty from a high balcony hotel. Inevitably, alcohol is always involved. So sad.

Great video Stuart. Very impressed with your new bike. I've been thinking about getting one but there seems to be so many types and I don't know what I should get. I didn't realize how big your town was. It all looks really nice. I thought those bike lanes looked pretty terrifying at the roundabouts where you have to cut across the car lane. Sod that. Really enjoyed this broadcast Stuart. Thanks. 😀👍

Hi Stu. On the subject of banks, we have been with Santander for 16 years now. The manager in our local branch basically rescued us when we purchased our apartment. The solicitor at the time, had done nothing related to our mortgage payments, water connection etc and they did it all for us without charge! Yes, we now pay 12€ a month for our account, but even now, the staff (especially Dana) in our local branch in Roquetas are excellent. We feel really supported by them. Thanks, John.

I have learned that when politicians say something is free, it isn't true, because someone is being Taxed and when you add in all the new people running the enterprise with logistics and supervision it's going to be a lot of money.

Among major concerns for the committee is how UK nationals and Gibraltarians will be handled if Schengen controls were introduced at Gibraltar’s airport rather than the border - a move the Committee says would render “Gibraltar’s frontier British in all but name.” As Spain takes control of the boarder and the airport.

Puidgemont held a rally in Amelie Les Bains Palalda, where I live. I only found out about it from a facebook page after the event and have yet to find anyone who attended. The French are more interested in their own politics than Spanish issues.

Much better set up where you are. I live in San Isidro and its an absolute nightmare i hate it!! Too many people in a residential area, people drinking and throwing up - peeing on your doorstep literally...- the ayuntamiento don't even come round and clean up (the streets need hosing down - imagine that smell for weeks after in the hot sun) Can't get car in nor out and the feria seems to last longer each year! 3 weeks this one... Sorry for the moan but its just not practical to close of the residential part of 15 de Mayo anymore.

Governments in most European countries mix social housing with expensive housing so as to avoid ghettos . This way they are spread around

Stuart if you have a private pension and a state pension, then you move from UK to Spain do you still pay taxes and if so at what rate

I wouldn't give free sunscreen to tourists if I were the minister, but rather condoms. Part of my family is British because some actually came for sex tourism in my opinion =)

@@janethaver3375 My sister in law worked as an English teacher and still does not because they need the money but because she likes it. She married to an Atletico (Madrid). She is happy here after decades for reasons I cannot understand appart of her brood and husband are here.

We've got a couple of non-electric bikes that mostly stay in the garage. Ja ja ja Thanks for today's video. PS: Yay on the sunscreen - I'm at the dermatologist twice a year and they always find something to freeze (liquid nitrogen) off. C'est la vie.

really enjoyed this one Stu! Makes me feel closer to my daughter who lives and works near Atocha. I used to live next to the Plaza de Toros in Ventas (well, across the M30 bridge, Av Donostierra) and hope to visit her in 2 weeks time! I love catching up with the news through you.
