Bo I have a Rules Question about Mortars Pinning down a Tank. 1.) I got a Panzer 4 pined down by a Medium Mortar - The Tank stays intact, but it recieves 3 Pins. The Mortar is Dailed in on a 2+. 2.) I get my german Dice, and give an "ADVANCE" Order. I roll a 11 and feil my moral Test on my Regual Panzer 4. The Tank Goes "Down" - But I have Enemies in his Front Arc, so the Panzer 4, Advances 4 1/2 Inch backwards before it goes down. 3.) Question. Is the Mortar still dialed in on the Panzer 4? Or could the Panzer only get OUT of the Mortar DIAL IN---- with 4 1/2 +2 Inches (that is required to leave Mortar Dial in Zone).
that depends on a rules interprtation! some TOs say that you have to be at least 3 inches from your previous position. Which you will not be, as the tank will end up pretty close to where it was before(depending on the size of the tank). Other TOs say that you just have to have moved 3 or more inches to have left the zeroing-in. Thus the tank would be safe and the mortar would have to zero-in again. I have seen both played

The Panzer IV in this Case (Italieri Modell) ist precisly 4 1/2 Inch long and if I move 4 1/2 Inches back... yeah. What do I do now. In my Playgroup and I made a short about This Situation, giving the Advice that the Tank could move out of this DEADLOCK Situation. (Whats the right in a Situation like this? Go for a Rally... but the Mortar is still dailed in on a 2?) Try to Advance and hope that I roll under my Morale, or just play Panzer 3's and Smalle^^? Thanks allot for responding. Have a great day!
