Lovely reaction Thank you! Though in the 1970's he usually sang a medley of: 'I Got A Woman' and 'Amen' at nearly all his concerts, on June 3rd 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, Elvis added a line from the song 'God Bless America'. This is my absolute favourite with the 3 songs together: 'I Got A Woman'. 'Amen', 'God Bless America' - out of All his song performances!😀♥
@@italianosiciliano1821 You're entitled to your own opinion.. I never liked Sinatra, I'm sure he was tecnically talented but I just can't stand his concrete voice. Elvis had SOUL, no other voice touches me to tears the way his does. I'm born in '72 and I actually hated this song. I would switch channel when they played this and really anything Sinatra, and still do. Then I discovered Elvis' version and realised what a beautiful song it really is🤷♀️
(new sub for Elvis) BACKGROUND INFO: The original song is the French song entitled "Comme d'habitude" & composed by Jacques Revaux, Gilles Thibaut & Claude François. The English version (My Way) was written by Paul Anka who re-wrote the original version for Frank Sinatra. Anka changed the lyrics & subtly altered the melodic structure. The original French song has nothing to do w-Paul Anka’s written version as we know it, for the translation of "Comme d'habitude" meaning is “something that happens regularly” or “that isn't surprising.” There is a video of the original French version w-English subtitles on the internet. Sinatra’s daughter Nancy said Sinatra did not like the song to the point of hating it. Sinatra said it was "self-serving" but performed it many times anyway. NO ONE COULD DO FOR A SONG what ELVIS DID FOR A SONG the emotion coming from his soul & his gut. I have been listening to & watching this man since 1954 when I was 11 so that will tell you what I think of him.
Wow! He was very perfectional looking and sounding. Than You. You could try Suspicious Minds 1970 by Elvis live. Or Trying to get to you. 1968 Comeback Special.
The original was Claude Francois (Comme d'habitude). Elvis always had a way with a song. A very dynamic performer in all his facets. He was a very special human being. Nice little video.
