TIPS:
Learn to "speed hear" a term we have coined for ear training. Just like speed reading you want to scan through what a speaker is saying to you and not focus on every single word.
- If you hear a word you don't know-DROP IT!!!!! LET IT GO!!! You will get other big clues as to what the story is about, if you just keep actively listening!
-Listen to short stories that focus on simple practical vocabulary! Kids stories are good for kids but not usually helpful for adults.
-Do not use SUBTITLES if you are trying to work on your ears!!! The moment you start reading, you stop listening so remove the subtitles and focus on what you are listening to with not distractions!
