Cool mackeral catch and sushi video. As a Florida native who has boated and fished all my life your videos really recapture many memories for me. Not to be preachy , but sure hope you are protecting your skin. Too many trips to the dermatologist are the result of not covering up or using plenty of suncreen. Be safe!
Ian, this was another good one. We catch a lot of the Spanish over at Horseshoe. I am glad to know we can eat it sashimi. Thank you again and tell Crystal she did a great job as well. God Bless. Sam
Lived in cape coral Florida for many years and I miss it very much but thanks to you and Crystal i can be there all the time. Thanks so much for your videos guys
Discovered your channel today. Big fan of Mike D. At Jettie Rocks down in Port Orange and Sam and Joyce (Old Couple Outdoors). All of you guys do catch clean and cook and are so informative. Love that you guys are all so family centered. Would love to learn more about your tug boat work.
Hey Tug, I lived in Alaska for 46 years and did all of the Alaska outdoors things that could be done. Now I’m retired and living in SE GA. I’m looking for ways to catch fish here in the Southeast without a boat. Your videos are great and very helpful for me to learn how it’s all done.
New subscriber, great content! I’m a huge bluegabe & deermeatfordinner fan and I’ve seen you on several of bluegabe’s videos and I’m very happy to see you have you’re own channel! You are always cooking up a storm and I’m pumped to try some of your recipes. I live over in Clearwater. People never believe me that Spanish Mack’s make for good sushi, until they try them!
Another great video Tug! That bait ball was really cool and your sashimi board was quite boujee! I usually put my wasabi in the soy sauce, but it’s hard for others to eat that way! Keep them coming
Hey bud, when smoking the Spanish do you cut out the pin bones or pick them after they're smoked. Just made some dip from your bluefish recipe and had a hard time pulling the bones. Seemed to have lost alot of meat that way. We got on the Spanish this morning balling bait out of ponce.
I cant explain it either but . when you have a beginner fisherman matched up with a seasons fisherman the beginner will catch more or the biggest fish. Than the person that knows how to fish.
Very cool. It was my understanding that the Spanish and blues made a large run during spring in northeast FL, but I would never expect to catch that many during August.
