You hardly see different styles of guy's today. 20 yrs ago you had a bhop style, james toney style, roy jones style, floyd jr style, mosley, Trinidad, delahoya etc. These guys look good. Just not very multilayered. No feints, varied timing, nothing really set up. No angles. But good work

@@xNinjamodx No. Like in all other sports improvement is based in doing drills and practicing your weaknesses. A 3rd baseman in baseball doesn't just play in practice games. He has hundreds of ground balls hit to him moving him to his left, his right, and right at him. In basketball guys just don't play in pickup games. They work on their weaknesses. If they're right handed they practice dribbling and shooting with their left hand. In football the quarterback doesn't just play in simulated practice games. He works on throwing passes to receivers: high, low, sideline, right shoulder, left shoulder, etc. In golf the player doesn't just play golf out on the golf course. He goes to the practice area to work on specific shots, putting, chipping, sand play, high, low, full shots, etc. Sparring sessions in boxing should be a time to work on specific skills that need to be improved upon. Examples of these would be : Cutting off the ring against a runner, Fighting off the ropes or out of a corner. Working on body shots and certain combinations. Have the sparring partner get up against the ropes and work on combinations. Have the sparring partner move to his left and/or right. In other words have your sparring partner position himself to simulate a weakness that you need to work on, such as, have him throw a lot of left hooks if your defense against a left hook is lacking. These guys are just boxing and the the only thing that they're getting out of it is exercise not improving their skill sets. Hope this answers your Q.
