Wooohoooo! Thank you Gina! Now we can spend the rest of the weekend making the new set! This bracelet and the previous ring look so good together. I love the montees in the bracelet you made. They are such a bright blue, they are really eye catching. I really need to get different color montees. I don't have that many. I would say that is what my stash is lacking. Keep on blessing us with your creations cause I love watching you make them and making them myself also. hank you so much for sharing your brilliance with the beading community!
Hi Shannon, I hear ya, I am always a bit low on crystal elements....whatever they may be. I use so much Crystal . I have billions of beads but NEVER enough Crystal...blah! Oh well there is a bead fest in September, maybe then...🌸
Thanks for the compliment, That's my main objective, to create very clear tutorials. There is no point in making them if they cannot be followed. I am very happy you like the videos!
Yes, this one is very pretty, I need to make another one, one of my friends had to have this one after I made it🤪 so, I need one for me too! Have fun with it!
Wow Gina your on the ball :-) this is another beauty .... ive still to make the ring yet so this will go on my to do list..just not enough beading hours in the day is there lol. this is an absolutely beautiful bracelet stunning colours instructions are easy to understand you make it so easy thank you merry Christmas and a happy new year
G'Day My Sparkling Friend, Just finished eating my Sunday Breakie and drinking my wonderful mug of coffee while enjoying this fabulous video! You have made so many beautiful designs in the past and it's always so hard to select one that is outstanding but I would have to say that I think this is indeed one of the best! The colour choice is gorgeous and the overall look of the design is breathtaking! I love the 8/Os and I think that I have them but I think that they are 11/Os. I think that if you had of used all silver seed beads it still would have looked good but the use of crystal black diamond ones gives it just a much better look. They blend the blue colours of the momtees and Bicones together beautifully and the blue of those divine Bicones is simply gorgeous...love them! Thank you for making designs that use those type of Montees as some other designers seem to only to use the crossed back ones (I think you called them rose ones) and they are very hard for me to get and to buy any Montees I have to look at China and even they seem to carry more of the boxed shaped ones. So I bought a lot and then found I couldn't use them and now I can wipe off the dust on their containers and use them in these two wonderful designs. I have a lot of Peach and Champagne coloured Bicones and my eager muse thought of using a combination of silver and gold seed beads or using the colours you used in the Princess set (which I think is still a pinch ahead of all your designs). It sat so beautifully on your wrist and it definitely said chic and add the earrings it would be fabulous to wear on a night out on the town! A black silver and gold coloured one would make that basic little black dress just glow! I heard Hunter in the background....how is he doing? Well I hope and it's still hard to believe from his photo that he is 14yrs as my daughter thought when she saw it she said what a beautiful "puppy" he is and couldn't (like I) think that he was elderly! Carla has now finished with the Vets (thank goodness) and it will be another 12 months before we are back to the nightmare of those 4 weeks of injections!! And now the Omega has forgiven the Alpha's and so the pack is now in perfect harmony and balance. and therefore all is well with the world!!! They are like our children ....you just can't live without them.... there would be such a dark hole in our lives without them!!! They are "so important" to us (humans) as they show us how to live and love and embrace life to it's fullest...we think that we look after them but it is our fur babies that look after us!! Thanks for this video and I can hardly wait to see what you do next and I am sure that it will indeed have a "wow" factor" to it. It will be hard to beat this one!!! I have just realized that this is forming into yet an other novel and I just hope that those Aliens Star Trekking around our planet don't divert it from the air waves and send it back to you in the Trash part of your computer.....fingers crossed!!!!!!!! Here's a thought may be I should write "two" novels and send one to them and the other to you my little bit of Fabulous....there problem solved. Hear from you soon. Blessings...XXXXOOOO
Hi Chris, I waited to respond for when I had my computer out. I think the apps are the issue. If I use my ipad I just can't see the whole novel, that is, if it doesn't get dumped in the trash. But I decide I wanted to see the whole thing. Today was uploading a new video and had my computer out. I am not going to be able to make it too long, have a million things scheduled to do today. But wanted you to know I read this and I enjoyed it, as always. I will write you again soon. Hunter is doing okay for an old guy. Now I must go get some coffee and into the shower...blah!
lovely bracelet gina. thank you. its really beautifull and simple.you are so right about that barkley nylon thread. lt s amazing. l have that as wel. l was so happy to FINALY buyng the good nylon thread. l bogth so many other before that and it was all shit. this barkley is THE ONE. l will never buy something else. it works perfectely .l just love it. hugs lovely gina
Hi Nilza, I think it true, I think I like the Nanofil better than Fireline even. It is a little bright in color though, you can see it through the beads more than some other threads. But it is strong, I like that. It doesn't fray, I like that even more.
Dear Gina, I am 70 yrs old and a man, however, once I saw your work it inspired me to learn to do beading. My main draw back is my eyesight and at times nervousness. I decided to take a shot at it. I bought the materials for this bracelet and am working on it. I have just reached my third montee. It was hard to get started because my fingers are not as nimble as they once were. My eyesight makes threading needles a bit of a chore. How i bought a magnifying head band and that helps me thread my needles. Do you use any type of magnifying equipment when you work and if you do, what kind? I am looking forward to finishing this project and moving on to one of your others or perhaps another one a different color. I chose red for this one. Red montees, red bicones, galv. silver 11/0's and 15/o's, with gold silver lined 8/0's. Looks like it will be beautiful when finished. Thanks for the inspiration. I wish I would have had time when I was younger to tackle this art.
Dear Daddy, I am so honored that I have inspired you to begin beading! I too have issues with my eyes, especially with 15/0 seed beads, more so if they are metallic, as that makes them shiny and harder to focus on. I have some magnifiers, like jewelers loops but mostly just use my prescription 👓 they are usually enough. I do have a lamp with a magnifying lens in it too. I don't use that often either. But all of these things do work. Just take it slow, perhaps ask your eye doctor if he/she has any suggestions, perhaps, some people here have suggestions too.
I have one question about the herringbone stitch. I've tried it a couple of times, and I seem to have a problem with it. How to you keep the beads straight and even? My herringbone tends to curl, because the tip is tighter than the bottom. Do you know how I can fix this?
Gina, I love this bracelet ...do you think a different bead could be used instead of the Montee ? Please let me know if you think something else would work ...Thanks
Hello Gina... been a while thank God we made it into 2018... will like to know if I can use 11/0 Japanese glass seed beads for this sparkling bone bracelet, hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
You can try it, you may need more units of herringbone between placement of montees, you may also need to use 15/0s where I used 11/0s in the original design. It will take more units to achieve the desired length also.
Hi Gina! I really like your tutorials! Can you please tell me where do you buy your matherials? For example I don't know where i could buy montees 4mm. Thank you for your help
This is probably not a great answer, but true. I buy my beads from everywhere, Amazon, online bead suppliers, local bead stores and shows...some of the beads I use, I have had in my bead room for years. Put a search in Amazon for 4mm Montessori, you will find them. Or try Etsy. Or firemountaingems.com.
+John DOE either use larger beads in the herringbone stitch or make more stitches between the placement of Montees to allow more space for the crystals, follow the pattern, just modify it to fit the crystals, do a few units and then do the embellishments to see if it will work, if not, modify it again. Once you get a good pattern going, them make a full size bracelet
