I bought Kimono My House too when it came out in 1974 . I saw them on Top Of The Pops on BBC they were performing This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us . Larry you are certainly their biggest fan

They have got 2 official fan clubs, one in L.A. and one in London.

Fantastic album. I had never really listened to Sparks that much but this album turned me onto them.

You're very lucky to have friends who are also Sparks fans. I don't know any other fans of them, and even if somebody wants to listen to that after I've mentioned them, they say they don't like it. Of course they just listen to one or two songs for one time. That's why I hope to meet some fans in Berlin at the concert, whenever that will be, and staying in touch with them. I really miss other Sparks fans in my "real life".

Hello! I've noticed you and one or two others on many of Sparks' vids now. I'm a mid-comer fan myself: Haven't been a fan for too long, but not too recent did I become one either :D I barely comment myself on any vids in general, but it's a shame because there's a lot i'd like to talk about regarding them with another fellow Sparks fan and so I find myself to be in the same predicament also :( Very few I know myself actually enjoy their music, though not enough to become a fan yet. These people i've shared the band's songs to as well; the rest I showed their music to didn't think much of it. It really is an acquired taste for sure. Anyway, just gonna finish this comment with this: You are not alone with what you have to say and I certainly hope you and I eventually find someone we can enthusiastically chat to about this phenomenal band :)

@@tomanderson9202 If you have a FB account you can choose between several fan groups to chat about Sparks and share whatever you want. And there's also the official fan group. That's what I'm doing now until I meet some fans in real life. When I wrote my first comment here I didn't have my FB account yet, but now I'm happy that I've created one.

@@girlfromgermany it's nice those kind of groups/communities exist, i'm just not really much of a group person when it comes to chatting. As for facebook, well...I don't quite use Facebook. For social media I tend to use either Discord or Skype (ancient by now, but if I have to I will use it) if I want to chat to online friends. I'm more of a one-on-one guy. Anyway, that's good you have your own account now to reach out like that. Wish you all the best with meeting a sparks fan in real life!

I ordered 2 versions of the vinyl today (the picture disc that you have with that giant booklet and the colored version with the poster) and I can't wait to hold them in my hands!! I'll have to look for a turntable though, if I want to listen to them. 😁 Oh man, if anybody had said that i'd buy vinyl records without having a turntable a couple of years ago, my answer would have been something like: "Why should I do that? That's nonsense." 😂

I ordered all 3 different vinyls from Sparks store and didn't think my order had gone through so got all 3 vinyls elsewhere and then I get 3 more turn up from Sparks store. Now I've got 6 vinyls a Deluxe CD a standard CD and a cassette. Oh well I've done my bit for the cause. Great Album 👍

Yesterday I received my vinyls! And they look so great! 🥰😍 I'm very happy to have them now! I decided to order them when I saw that they are sold out in the official Sparks store and I'm very glad I did it. If I hadn't done it, I'm know I would have regretted it very much!

The cd book is awesome and had to buy it when Ron showed it on RU-vid when they got the first pressing. I also got the vinyl collection 😃, but, as always, the picture disc version has some sound quality issues 😟

These look really nice. At first I only ordered the bookstyle cd edition, but couldn't help also ordering an lp version. Opted for the colour vinyl. I like that album cover. Mainly black before all the paint reaches Ron, poor Ron😄 Also ordered Past Tense the greatest hits package.

The artwork has almost no green in it. Specially designed for you? Your story you became a Sparksfan because you threw their lp in the bin is so awesome, can you tell it once again? But seriously, this album sounds and looks great!

Sparks just never took off in America. Let alone in California. Just never heard them, ever on the radio. But it does seem you are very familiar with Sparks.

They got airplay in California in the early 80's and also had a minor hit single called "Cool Places" which aired on MTV along with some other Sparks songs.
